As was the case most of the time now, and she'd had enough. Not only did she feel sick, she felt too weak to get up and do something about it, and so after nearly throwing up in the middle of class, Annie gave a look to the teacher before getting out of there with no explanation. She wasn't sure who knew now, but she wouldn't be surprised if the staff were in on the whole thing. She was scared of people knowing though, to be honest, as Annie didn't want sympathetic looks from the adults who were wondering how she was going to cope, and neither did she want any snyde comments from the students who thought she was stupid. Let us face it, the choice of her baby's father (if you can call it a choice,) wasn't the best one considering his reputation. At least their kid would be hot. Well, look at her, she was freaking awesome, and Trevor was, although she hardly ever told him to his face, too hot for his own good. That was serious too, his good looks had gotten him into trouble in the past.
His good looks was practically what had gotten them into trouble now. If he hadn't been so hot, and didn't heat her so much, Annie wouldn't have let him jump on her and then voila, there wouldn't be a baby. Sighing at this thought, Annie knew really that she wouldn't change it. She couldn't be without him now. He was a big part of her life and she actually kind of trusted him, which was weird, as she wasn't the type to trust anyone who came off as idiotic. No, that was harsh, he could actually be quite smart and Annie admired him for what he wanted to do. There was something that she'd wanted to do though, and she'd been absolutely gutted to have to give it up, but the baby would be at risk, and so for now, Annie's quidditch career had come to an end. This was a shame in itself, she was all set with Dash to set the Gryffindor team in her final year on the path to glory by winning the Quidditch cup. She couldn't help them now, and she couldn't bring herself to tell them why either.
Instead, Annie'd gone to the captain, politely withdrawn her claim as beater, and almost cried herself to death walking back to the castle that day. Annie didn't know if the captain had guessed why but she kind of hoped not. None of this was the biggest issue though, because if Annie kept on running out of lessons like this, she wouldn't learn anything. The nurse came back with a disposable toothbrush, some toothpaste and a mouthwash and Annie thanked her, taking to the nearest sink to wash out her mouth. She didn't want to stink of sick, that would be a big giveaway. Once she was done, she handed the toothpaste back, pocketed the toothbrush just in case there was a next time, and made her way out of the youth wing. She'd gone, begging for some sort of potion to stop the nausea but the nurse was reluctant to give her anything considering how early in her pregnancy it was.
Pulling the door open, Annie stepped out and looked up too late, only to walk into someone passing by that way. And it wasn't a someone who she was happy to see either. Landing on her bum, Annie sighed, glad at least it wasn't on her stomach. She'd have to start watching where she was going more. It didn't help though that half the time her mind was on worries about the baby and her future and Trevor, and the other time, it was on how much her back hurt. Talking of her back hurting, Annie pulled herself up carefully and rubbed it with a groan. Falling over would not improve that, without a doubt. "Oh great, it's you" |
Annie said, rolling her eyes. "What're you doing this way? Come to ask the nurse for something to get rid of that hideous thing on your face? Oh. wait. My bad, that is your face!" Annie said, slipping into her old routine of insulting this Slytherin girl.[/div] tagging tag. wearing click for clothes! words 717. notes wooo for more postage! lyrics paramore.

It wasn't like she was a bad person, because she'd seen for herself enough to know that she wasn't and also that history had proved to her that she was nothing like evil people. Not that she had a wish to be similar to people who qualified as 'evil', because she knew, deep down, that she was far too nice sometimes. Of course she couldn't show this nice side everyday, especially when she was so proud to be a Slytherin and had a house reputation to maintain. She was, after all, still the granddaughter of Draco Malfoy and her earlier predecessors were hardly the most loving of people. This meant that she did occasionally appear to be a less agreeable person, but, to her credit, it was usually the same group of people who suffered from these tendencies. The person she enjoyed being mean to happened to be the person who was perhaps the harshest in his actions and words towards her. This relationship worked upon the premise that they both disliked each other intently, she could hardly pretend that she liked him when the opposite was true, besides she liked being mean to him. It was the way things had always been, a typical Slytherin-Gryffindor rivalry. But that was a man, whom were more inclined to rub her up the wrong way, whereas the lucky girl who was at the centre of her snide remarks happened to be the one that had just walked into her. If ever there was a reason to dislike this girl, that had to be the perfect one, she'd have a reason to hate anyone who decided to crash into her, without an apology.
Even with an apology, Cassie knew that she wouldn't easily forgive someone for running into her, admittedly she hadn't been travelling at a fast speed, but she was prepared to act as though she had. "I think you forgot to apologise for your lack of footing, Carter."
She raised an eyebrow, as though assuming the role of an authoritative figure. "You should count yourself incredibly lucky that I'm not injured. Not to mention that such reckless behaviour could be dangerous for someone in your position." A small smirk appeared on the face of the Slytherin girl, unable to stop herself from informing the girl that she'd guessed about her current issues. She'd heard the rumours, albeit the same kind of rumours that circled about a few girls in various houses each year, it was a school of gossip. She wasn't entirely convinced that Annie was one of these stupid and irresponsible students who would become pregnant during her years at Hogwarts, but she loved the idea too much to digress on the finer details. She glanced down at the girl, watching her move from the cold texture of the floor below them, quite interested to note the amount of time it would take for her to stand up once again. This might give her some indication as to whether the story was in fact true, but also, it just made her smile a little, watching her struggle. "I wouldn't start moaning about me, I'm hardly the one you should be worried about. Your concern is touching however, I never knew you cared so much." If there was ever a time to find out about these strange rumours, it was now, the girl could hardly deny she'd been heading towards the Hospital Wing, any attempts to persuade her of otherwise would receive a patronizing smirk. On second thoughts, she found it highly likely that a girl like Annie would be pregnant, it was just as stupid as running into people in corridors. Cassie felt a sincere wave of relief rush over her head, grateful that she was not as naive to engage in behaviours leading to a possible pregnancy. If she was pregnant, she wouldn't be able to cope. Judging from her company's expression, she wasn't coping particularly well today either. Whether it was because of a small child beginning to form in her womb or because she looked sick and tired, Cassie was feeling satisfaction at looking much better than her Gryffindor companion.[/blockquote][/blockquote] annie carter. word count far too lazy to count. outfit slytherin robes. notes none to add at the moment (:[/blockquote][/blockquote]

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true] | [atrb=background,http://i1126.photobucket.com/albums/l601/awesomeemma/anniefirstmiddle-1.png][atrb=width,400,true] It was nice to know that one thing didn't change. Annie could always count on Cassandra insulting her. It was like the thing that she could bet on, every time. In all honesty, Annie and Cassie's 'relationships' with the guys that they were kind of with, in a way, similar. Both were sort of love hate, although Annie didn't pretend to know too much about the details of their love life. Although, It seemed, Cassie knew more about Annie's than Annie wanted her to, and the pale look on Annie's face probably said it all. Oh shit. How did she find out? Never mind, Annie was going to try and walk it off, pretend that she didn't know what Cassie was talking about. Hell, how did she know? How did she find out? Annie couldn't believe it. She was ready to kill whoever let that cat out of the bag. She looked down worriedly for a second to make sure that she hadn't missed the fact that she had some sort of baby bump showing, but her stomach was almost as flat as ever. Annie wouldn't have been able to tell from the outside. So she didn't give it away because of a bump or anything. That ruled that out. "Why should I apologise to you? You should apologise to everyone else who has to look at you!" |
Annie bit back, hoping that was an ok, Annie-ish insult. If there was one thing she was good at, it was comebacks, that was always the truth and would always be the truth if she had anything to do with it. "What do you mean, in my position, anyway? I'm not quite sure I understand you. Do you mean in my position as the awesomest person in school?" Annie asked, tilting her head to the side, although the pale tones in her face probably told that she was lying. She couldn't help that she felt dizzy and sick, making her paler, although the general idea of Cassie knowing above all else was enough to give her the complexion of a ghost. She was incredibly lucky that she hadn't fucked up monumentally already and lost the baby. It would solve the problems but to be honest, as scary as it was, Annie couldn't help but find herself attached to the thing growing inside her, and she suspected that this was largely because it was a part of herself that would probably love her no matter how bad she fucked up her life and relationships with anyone else. As long as she didn't fuck up badly enough to screw up the life of her child too. If she even kept it. At this point, adoption was still an idea floating around, but that was mainly because she was so freaking scared that she couldn't care for the baby thing when it was born. Alright, so in getting up, Annie had moved slower and more carefully in an attempt not to strain her back anymore or to put her baby at risk. Her baby. God, it was still scary thinking that. "Look, sweet heart, I don't know why you're so concerned about me worrying about myself, but I am awesome enough to handle anything that comes my way." Annie pointed out. She was awesome, and in fairness, she had wanted to be a mother one day, so it wasn't like she didn't think that she had the skills. She just thought that those skills were severely underdeveloped. She'd have to get them up to scratch pretty damn quick though if things carried on like this and she couldn't make the decision to put it up for adoption. She was sure that there was some lovely, caring magical couple out there who would adore having a child as awesome as hers would be. Annie just wasn't sure that after it had been born, she wouldn't want the awesomeness in her life. She didn't want to spend the rest of her life wondering where her child was or if she made the right decision or who was raising it. It was a scary thought to have a child in your care, but it was a scary thought trusting your child in the care of others. What if the couple was wrong, what if they lied, what if they were more unfit than she and Trevor was? "What're you doing over here, seriously?" Annie asked, trying to take the topic of conversation from herself.[/div] tagging tag. wearing click for clothes! words 746. notes wooo for more postage! lyrics paramore.

There was something weird and wrong about this girl, she found, confirmed by her company refusing to apologise for a mistake that was entirely her fault. Of course if it had been the other way around, Cassie would have refused completely to apologise for her behaviour, determined to blame it on everyone else but her. If she was always right, then she didn't apologise to other people, especially people that she disliked intently. She raised an eyebrow at the Gryffindor, as though questioning her comments without feeling the need to explain it. Anyone in her position would be rather offended, given that a person had walked into them and rejected the reasonable response of showing sincerity for doing her wrong. "You should apologise because you practically crashed into me. You should really have a grasp of this basic moral code by now, Carter."
Had she been anyone else, she had no doubt that the girl would not so readily act as though she had not done anything wrong. How pathetic, she thought, that Annie would continue to refuse to apologise just because she didn't like a particular person. "Let us hope that your foetus inherits a better sense of which behaviours are socially acceptable than its mother." She still wasn't certain that the Gryffindor student was pregnant, but the girl's reactions to simple statements made in her direction were far more telling than anything else. If Annie was indeed pregnant, the visible signs had yet to arrive, yet her behaviour was odd enough to warrant the suspicion of her contemporary in the first three minutes of conversation. Was she just an incredibly bad actor, or was she more observant than she realised? She liked to think it was the first, but the consideration that the girl was pregnant was far more entertaining to mull over than why she was seemingly incapable of pretending otherwise. It no longer mattered to Cassie much as to whether the girl was in actuality with child, but merely whether she could continue to receive such a hostile reaction from her long-time rival. If there was one thing that gave her away, it was probably the sickly-looking expression on her face, something that even the most ignorant would eventually come to notice. Cassie was reasonably pale, given her paternal ancestry, but she'd never seen someone look as ill as this during school hours. If she were the average student, Cassie might have shown a little more concern, but yet her words were not meant to physically or emotionally scar Annie, just temporarily wound. "Such a clever response. But, I suspect, if you were as clever as you think you are, you would not be standing outside the Hospital Wing with a small infant growing inside you." She fixed the Gryffindor girl with the same half-smiling, half-smirking expression that was the usual when they happened to come across each other in a hallway. The difference was that Cassie evidently had a lot more reasons to smile than Annie, something that she took more satisfaction in knowing. "Your position as an awesome teenage mother, of course, Annie." Using the girl's own words and attaching it to something that was clearly not 'awesome' was intentional, said in a whisper that was not audible to anyone else but them. She wasn't sharing this feeling of smugness with anyone else, regardless of who they might be. "I'm always concerned about people, Carter, it's the natural human reaction. I just care about you less than everyone else." She couldn't deny that these rumours were not making her both curious and interested in the affairs of a student that she usually went out of her way to avoid as much as possible. "I'm joking, there's definitely about three other people who fall below you. I still care though, why else do you think I'm taking such an interest?" Various reasons could be assumed here, most of which would probably form a little part of the truth, including curiosity and a desire to take comfort in the idea that someone was much worse off than herself. She didn't need much comforting of this fact, she knew her life was considerably better than the average student, but knowing her life was at the other end of the scale to Annie's? That brought a stronger sense of self-satisfaction than most other events could ever do. Unconsciously she found her eyes falling to the girl's stomach, blinking a few times, before she realised and returned her gaze to something other than the current thought invading her mind. Shrugging, she rubbed her arm, giving the girl another smirk as she responded honestly to the question. "Just doing a bit of afternoon wandering, flying, you know? Or, I guess, you used to know."[/blockquote][/blockquote] annie carter. word count far too lazy to count. outfit slytherin robes. notes none to add at the moment (:[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Enough of this girls BS. Annie Carter didn't apologise to anyone. Especially when it wasn't her fault. If the Slytherin girl hadn't been hovering or loitering, or whatever the word was, by the door, Annie wouldn't have walked out of the door and into her, would she? It would have to be a pretty big case of bad timing. Annie wondered if she'd been listening, and panicked inwardly wondering if the nurse had said the words 'pregnant' or 'baby'. She tried to recall the whole conversation but it seemed that those words had indeed popped up a few times. Maybe she was being paranoid now, although Annie didn't know what else to expect from a Slytherin. "Here's a life lesson for you, Malfoy. Don't stand in the way of doors. What were you, listening through the wood?" |
When she said that 'f' word, Annie freaked out inside even more, imagining Cassie with her stupid ears leaning against the wood, straining to hear anything that she could. Had she seen Annie come here? Had she followed her? Oh wow, this was paranoid. "I'm sorry, but I don't happen to own, or be in possession of, a foetus, thanks very much." Annie said stubbornly. She was not going to give anything away definitely, not to this bitch. Talk about bringing things into perspective, the images of her with a baby inside of her came flooding back. These were images that she'd blocked out because of their sheer ability to freak her the hell out. At present, Annie had no idea what she was supposed to do. Were pregnant women expected to do anything special or different? Were they like, supposed to talk to the thing so that it could learn her voice or something? She really needed to get her hands on a baby book but she couldn't exactly ask her parents to send her one considering the fact that they had absolutely no idea what was going on with her. What was going on with her anyway? Annie was usually a good actress and could always keep a lie going convincingly with ease. This thing must be messing with her awesomeness. Maybe it was draining the awesome from her, and absorbing it for itself. Actually that wouldn't be so bad. Her talents wouldn't be lost and that way she knew she'd have an awesome child. Was it possible to pass on awesomeness through your genes? Something must have been giving Annie away for this girl to be driving the nail in so much. "Listen, bitch, it is none of your business what my position is, or what I have growing inside of me. So I don't care if you get word that I'm carrying a freaking God, I don't want to hear a word about it from you, alright?" Annie snapped, the teenage mother comment getting to her. How did she know? God sometimes she could be so sickly sweet, it was driving Annie up the wall. She snorted with laughter. "Sorry, you think you're human? Sweetheart I think someone needs to have a talk with you about your parents. Have you not gotten your certificate of pedigree yet?" Well that sounded more like the normal and awesome Annie that everyone knew. Maybe the baby was all done absorbing her awesome and she still had some fight left in her. "Hm. Couldn't be that you're so nosey and have no life yourself that you dedicate your time into sticking your nose into the lives of others?" Annie asked sarcastically, tilting her head to the side as if the answer wasn't quite obvious. Which of course, it was. Oh she was so back. Annie noticed Cass' eyes fall to her stomach and for a second, she wondered if that Malfoy girl was actually wondering what it would be like to have a life growing inside her. In all reality, it was terrifying. Annie was so scared for the future of herself and of her child and of Trevor. She was so scared of how her parents would react. But at the same time, carrying a life, she felt like it somehow made her special. Connected to all the women before her who'd done the very same thing so that she could be there today. The flying comment hurt, but there we go. ”Well you know, I have more time to have a life now. No amount of extra time for you would be enough though, to actually get someone to like you” Annie bit back. Flying was the one thing she was awesome at, and she’d given it up. This baby must be special.[/div] tagging tag. wearing click for clothes! words 774. notes wooo for more postage! lyrics paramore.

Something about the girl's behaviour after her seemingly casual comments told her that Annie was angrier than usual. Maybe it was the fact that she was overreacting to most of the words she'd said, or perhaps it was that she was swearing instead of thinking up an interesting or witty response. "Whoa, Carter. You need to calm down, you're going to explode."
She wasn't too concerned about the girl's frustration and whatever else she was currently feeling being directed at her, because, she could shrug it off without feeling too offended. Whilst these comments were made in an unquestionably angry tone, they were not as harsh as they could have been, making her wonder as to whether the girl couldn't think of anything else but her impending childbirth. If the Gryffindor girl was actually pregnant. Although, judging by the aggressive responses she was now receiving, the question seemed to be pointless, Annie had to be pregnant. Why else would she attempt to prove otherwise in such a pathetically transparent manner? "Just because somebody managed to get themselves knocked up is no need to try and blame it all on me." Obviously the aggressive tone also demonstrated clearly that Cassie was not about to get any form of apology from her company any time soon. Which was far from fine, in her mind, but she'd neglect to bring it up when there were far more entertaining topics to discuss. "I happened to be passing by. I hardly expected someone to open the door violently with no regard whatsoever for other people. I shall be aware of your clumsy tendencies from now on." Who was she trying to convince, she wondered, Cassie or herself? Since she now thoroughly believed that Annie was pregnant, there was little time or point in trying to convince her otherwise. Nothing she could say would make her believe that there wasn't a small infant growing inside of the girl, except an objective medical professional's diagnosis. Perhaps then, it wasn't meant for Cassie, but said aloud to try and convince herself of this instead. If so, the girl was clearly deluded, she could deny everything as much as she liked, the problem was evidently not going to go away. "There's really no need to resort to calling me names, Carter." Clearly, Annie was using Cassie in order to rid herself of her stress and anger, although to no avail, she wasn't so foolish as to be taken in on this account. "Regardless of which words you throw at me, your issues will still remain." By issues, she made it obvious that she was referring to the new life that they both knew about, although barely raising her voice above that soft whisper, the remnants of a sweetness still appearing in her tone. Still refusing to rise to the girl's insults, she contented herself instead by merely smirking a little more confidently and appearing more relaxed than before. Usually, she found it difficult to resist the temptation of responding to such deogartive comments, but today was different. Because Annie was different, making her the person with the upper hand in their conversation and happily also making her appear the better person for not rising to it. Of course this was only because she knew the situation benefitted her more than Annie, they probably both knew that she had far more to lose than Cassie from things turning out badly from this point. "I suppose it could, but, sadly for you, that isn't the reason. Being the influential student that I am, I have far more interesting things to do than watch your every move." She wasn't going to vent her frustration, since such a move would make it clear that the other girl was getting to her, something that Cassie would not allow herself to do. Also, she found, it was easier because she was still content to smirk at the thought of Annie struggling with a teenage pregnancy. "Quite simply, you don't register enough on my radar to make you worthy of my continuous attention." She laughed a little, at the Gryffindor's final words, such an odd choice of phrase considering. She doubted the girl would have noticed her error, since it wasn't something most would pick up on, it was an everyday phrase to everyone else. "An apt choice of words, isn't it? 'To have a life' which coincidentally is just what you'll be having in less than nine months time."[/blockquote][/blockquote] annie carter. word count far too lazy to count. outfit slytherin robes. notes none to add at the moment (:[/blockquote][/blockquote]

She could feel it rising and it was going to so go out of control. She was usually quite good at keeping this quiet, but she seemed to be getting angrier than usual, much more easily than she normally would. Oh crap, would that be the baby doing that? What about the baby, would it be like, in danger or whatever if she got too angry and stressed out? What if it was? She'd have to calm down. Now. Annie took a breath, clenching her fists tight for a second and then letting them relax again. keep calm, Annie, keep calm |
she told herself mentally, praying she'd manage to keep a handle on this. She didn't know what was ok for her to do anymore! She'd have to pick up a baby book and see what was bad and what was good and what was ok to do or eat or think or whatever. This baby seemed to be limiting her in ways that she didn't like, although the biggest way that bothered her the most was her lack of ability to play Quidditch now. It didn't help that Malfoy was on the team. Was she jealous of her? NO. Maybe of her ability to play Quidditch but other than that, definitely not. "I am perfectly calm, thank you very much" Annie said, taking another calming breath and attempting to watch her tone. "If, let us say, someone did get themselves knocked up, as you put it, would it be fair of you to purposely set out to rile them up and therefore, endanger the life of the child that they're carrying?" Annie asked, speaking all hypothetically, but tilting her head to the side with a smile that said she'd won. The guilt trip, perfect. "Well it doesn't seem like I'm the one with a callous regard for the lives of others now, does it? You're the one getting someone you seem to think is pregnant, to explode with anger." Annie pointed out, hammering the point home. Ok, so Annie was more so trying to convince herself, just as much as Cassie, that this wasn't happening. And Ok, maybe it isn't the best tactic. It was happening. There was a life inside her and maybe it didn't have to be such a bad thing. This child would love her, and look up to her and respect her. It wasn't all bad. The nappies and lack of quidditch and feeling sick and dizzy and all that was bad, but there could be more good than bad points, as long as she looked at it positively. It was good though, that Annie was taking all her anger out on Cassie, as it was all slowly ebbing away and leaving Annie with a calm and content feeling. "Oh Malfoy, don't lie, even dogs have names." Annie countered, of course talking about normal names this time, and not insulting ones. It was also a neat little insult at the same time. Genious. "And they are exactly that, aren't they? MY Issues. It is none of your business what goes on in my body, or what I do with it, so please stop making assumptions." Annie said, fake sweetness in her voice at that last part. Annie didn't exactly like the idea of the news being everywhere just in case people called her a slut and stuff, as that was one of the insults that she couldn't take. She'd only ever had sex with one guy, and he was the one who's child was growing inside her. She was not a slut. Annie shrugged off her comments, trying to keep calm now. "Sweetheart, the last thing I want to do is be on your radar, that's for the sluts and drama whores. I'm neither. I like my privacy." Annie pointed out, although slightly nervous that Cassie would use her 'influence' as she so put it, to spread the news all through the school. She'd rather everyone know though, than grovel at Malfoy's feet, begging her not to say anything. "Well, then I'll have one life more than you do, won't I? Anyway, I don't know where you get your information from, but I'd check your sources, 'cause you are most definitely way off." Annie stated, holding back a small groan as her stomach cramped a little. It had been hurting on and off too. And then she felt sick again. Ergh, not now! She did do a good job of holding that back though. At least for now.[/div] tagging tag. wearing click for clothes! words 774. notes wooo for more postage! lyrics paramore.

Clearly, she should have known better than to ever assume that someone like Annie was going to apologise, even when every witness could have confirmed that it was indeed the Gryffindor girl's fault. She didn't really know why the girl was actually that angry today, but she guessed it was something that she was more than happy to blame Cassie for. It didn't even make any sense, she was willing to bet that anyone else would be exempt from the hormone-filled teenager. How lucky that she appeared to be number one on the angry girl's list to shout at. She was surprised it was only currently a little bit of seething and glaring, normally she'd be less worried about the thought of attacking her, regardless of where they happened to be standing. Yet another curious factor that added to her conclusion that the girl was indeed suffering from a small infant invading her womb. Again, just the thought of this made her gaze back down momentarily at the girl's stomach, as though she was expecting something to happen to confirm this rumour right there and then. Of course it wasn't going to, everyone would know if it was completely obvious that Annie was pregnant. The thought struck her suddenly, was she the only one who'd guessed and happened to get it right? That would explain a lot. Like why the girl was so determined to have a go at the one person who happened to guess this fact? That couldn't just be coincidence, right?
Barely containing a laugh from emerging from her mouth, she faced her company with a rather skeptical expression. "Oh, I'm sorry, that must be your calm and collected face, it's difficult to tell with hair like yours. Perhaps you just always look angry?"
Obviously sorry was the last emotion that was currently crossing her mind, with feelings and thoughts of all types, yet 'sorry' was not one of them. It wasn't as though she appeared sorry either, with her tone being lowered to emphasise the sarcasm hanging on the end of this particular word. She couldn't feel sorry for a girl who'd had the stupidity to get herself into the mess of being pregnant, such a thing would be illogical and abnormal for the Slytherin. It was barely a few seconds later before Cassie found herself once again needing to raise an eyebrow at the girl's ridiculous refusal of what was clearly now the truth. "Is it really necessary for us to use hypotheticals when we both know that you're lying? I'm sure this pretence works well enough for people willing to believe that you have more than half a brain, but between us, it's never going to work." A small smirk replaced the capricious look she previously wore. "Nice try though, Carter. You had me convinced for all of... about two minutes." She must have realised, especially at this moment of the conversation, that Cassie was far from subscribing to the belief that Annie just 'popped into' the hospital wing for a random chat with the medical professional. Couldn't she see how pathetically weak her attempts to persuade her of otherwise really were? It was sad, she concluded, sad indeed if Annie was incapable of realising that her enemy was not likely to be dissuaded by a few looks and words to the contrary. It was strange, one moment the girl appeared to be taking out all of the month's pressures and anger upon her current companion and the next she'd calmed down considerably. No matter what was causing this sudden outburst of temper directed at Cassie, she was pretty sure that such anger was not normal, even for her. She was also not aware that the Gryffindor had such a strange ability as to change from practically yelling at someone one moment to being sickly sweet to them in the next. Being sickly sweet to someone was evidently still lined with your anger towards them, however, Cassie was well aware of this particular technique since it happened to be a favourite of hers. "It's a good question, isn't it?" she voiced, acting as though she'd completely missed hearing a comment likening to her to that of a dog. "Is it still an assumption when it's prove correct? One would presume not. I daresay you could liken it to a fact in those circumstances." Normally, she'd have jumped on the person who dared to say such a thing about her, but when it was Annie, she felt more satisfaction in halting her aggression. Also, Cassie was humane in that regard, believing the Gryffindor to be pregnant meant that she would never risk doing anything to harm said unborn child. Obviously Annie would never know of this fact, because she'd be able to use it for her own purposes. "They might be your issues, Carter, but do you really think that something of this nature could ever stay quiet in a school like this? People are bound to find out, it's life." She patted the girl on the wrist, smirking even as she did so, lessening the indication that she meant to offer support through such a small gesture.[/blockquote][/blockquote] annie carter. word count far too lazy to count. outfit slytherin robes. notes none to add at the moment (:[/blockquote][/blockquote]

No there most definitely wasn't a huge protruding stomach thing going on down there, she'd checked daily, fearing that she'd blow up like a balloon unexpectedly and wouldn't be able to hide her condition from anyone anymore. That was a scary thought. She knew it would be impossible to hide it forever unless she left now in a hurry, and scurried away with no explanation. Though someone would guess. She was toying with the idea of leaving but she didn't want to lose her education to this whole ordeal either. At least Trevor already had his. Where was he at the moment? Well, the father of her child was in America, visiting his parents who he didn't even care for much. He'd told her he was coming back soon and so she trusted in that, not really knowing why. Maybe she wanted to believe that she wasn't going to be left to do this alone, though she was mentally preparing for it, just in case. Of course he had a history of running away from things that mattered and so she should expect that he wouldn't return, but right now, deluding herself that he was coming back, was much easier than accepting the fact that she was going to be a single mother. "What're you staring at? If you're looking for a mirror to check your vanity, you won't find one there, I can tell you that." |
Annie pointed out, staring at Cassie with an annoyed look. Annie rolled her eyes as Cassie churned out another hair insult. To be honest, Annie had heard them all before, and to be honest, Annie couldn't care less. Some important people had complimented her hair, and they certainly stood on a higher rank than this silly malfoy girl. "Hair insults? My my, was your originality sapped away and replaced with vanity instead? It must be so boring, being, well, boring." Annie said with a shrug. She'd never heard a worse hair insult either. The majority of people she met liked her hair and only insulted it because they were jealous. It was much nicer than Cassie's boring colour. "Oh but Cassie, didn't you just say people with half a brain would believe it? You come under that category too, don't forget." Annie countered, smirking. At the two minutes comment, Annie sucked in a fake 'surprised' breath, before opening her mouth to talk. "Woah now, I didn't know you could count, or tell time!?" Annie said, her fake surprised tones invading her voice. "When did this development in your education occur? Last Tuesday?" Annie added, the smirk on her lips getting bigger. "Well I don't see any proof, Malfoy." Annie said, looking around as if trying to find the proof that she was talking about. "For all you know I could have acted up to a teacher and they'd sent me to scrub bedpans. You just saw me coming out of my detention, genius." Annie lied more smoothly this time, grinning like she'd won. "No, because you know why, Malfoy? You only care about seeing people humiliated because you have no heart inside that body of yours." Annie commented, her anger flaring a little. She did not want this girl to go and spoil her future. She knew the real reason that Cassie wouldn't tell anyone though. Because as long as she had something on Annie that she didn't want anyone to know, Annie couldn't touch Cassie. And Cassie wouldn't give that up, would she? She'd rather taunt Annie with it, making sure she wasn't doing anything Cassie didn't like. Now Annie would have to find something bigger on Cassie, so she could turn the tables.[/div] tagging tag. wearing click for clothes! words 774. notes wooo for more postage! lyrics paramore.
