[/color] nathaniel began. yes, it was another lesson in the lovely care of magical creatures classroom. it was, by far, the best classroom ever, because it was the only one without four walls to it's name. it was in the large expanse of the grounds that nate taught his class, and he couldn't be more delighted by his work space. who wouldn't want to spend their day taking in views like this. of course, there was also a perk to being inside the castle as it meant that you had a legitimate reason to run into one of the most beautiful women he'd ever seen, also known as evelyn matthews. he, however, had no such excuse, so he'd resorted to making up his own to run into her. not that he needed an excuse, he had the charm to go up and talk her into spending the day with him, or at least he was confident that this was possible. not to mention his good looks, that were more than an asset.on the topic of those, he smirked inwardly as he noticed some of the girls faces light up as he spoke, and their attention being solely focused on him. he couldn't lie, the attention was flattering, and he loved it, though it would never go beyond some looks from them as the student/teacher thing wasn't for him. he had his eyes set on someone else, who had been named not so long ago. everlasting life trumped the risk of a student teacher relationship. besides, they usually got caught out in the end leading to the loss of any respect and possible teaching career for the teacher involved, and he liked his job, the position within the castle was handy for his plans, for his father's plans, and for his bank account. he couldn't lie, he had some expensive tastes. how was he supposed to treat the resident vampire to a nice meal or a nice gift to impress her and win her over without the gold to do so? although he knew it would take more than something shiny for evelyn matthews to fall in love with him.
but he would do whatever it took.
turning his focus back to class, he smiled happily at his students. "we are going to start off the year, not with a fizzle but with a bang. i hope you guys are ready, we're taking a trip into the forbidden forest, so don't tell anyone"[/color] he teased, causing some of the oggling girls to become giggling ones as well. he was allowed to take the students into the forest as he had plenty of knowledge to keep them safe.however, better safe than sorry, as they said, so yesterday evening, nathaniel had stopped by to see evelyn matthews in her office and explained the lesson plan, and had asked for her company in the forest, just to make sure the students felt safe, and would be well protected should anything go wrong. she had agreed, and so this morning he'd dressed a little nicer than usual and made sure he looked good enough, before heading for lessons. now he waited for the familiar form of professor matthews to cross the grass and reach them "for those of you worrying about your safety within the forest, i can assure you, you are well protected. professor matthews has kindly volunteered to acommpany us into the forest and keep us all safe"[/color] he said with a smile, winking at the professor. she was perfectly capable of protecting an army of students, he was sure. between the magic and the whole vampire thing, any enemy would be dead in seconds.[/div]
