GENDER: Female. DATE OF BIRTH: November 1. SEXUAL ORIENTATION: Bisexual. CURRENT RESIDENCE: Hogwarts. CURRENT OCCUPATION: Transfiguration Professor. HOGWARTS HOUSE: None (Beauxbatons Alumni). BLOOD STATUS: Halfblood (Magic + Muggle). WAND: Fourteen inches, vinewood, Boomslang venom. PERSONALITY: Witty – November has a knack for wordplay & sharp, quick comebacks. She's a tease when it comes to insults; she subtly comments on something about the insultee without being too serious. She often twists her opponent's words back at them, leaving them confused & pretty much stunned. Smooth Talker – November is a chameleon when it comes to other people. She can be what anybody needs at the moment, whether it be a shoulder to cry on, a wise opinion... anything! Naturally, she's a manipulative seductress, & uses her womanly wiles to get what she wants. &, quite frankly, she's damn good at it. Calculating – This quality of November's is potentially her most deadly. She isn't incredibly academically smart, but when it comes to people & blending in she's an absolute champ. She has a tendency to notice things that not everybody would. This helps her relate to people, & understand what make them tick. She mentally profiles people, & rarely doesn't strategize before playing something out. She's also a keen observer, which heightens this by a lot. She's kind of like Sherlock Holmes in the movies with RDJ. BACKGROUND: No one is exactly sure where November's story starts. She doesn't remember anything before the middle of her tenth year on Earth. Her memories come back in bits & pieces, & are always triggered by something she's doing or something that she sees. A couple of the memories she currently has of these years are as follows, as told to her Mind Healer (they have been confirmed by the Pensieve & Occlumency): #1: The Woman In White. DATE: July 19, 1994. SUBJECT: Valentine, November O. ACTING HEALER: Atticus J. Prior. “Stop looking at me like that. You shouldn't look at people like that; it's incredibly rude. I – oh, for Merlin's sake, just stop it! Okay, okay. I'm in the doorway of this room. It's big. How big? Maybe as big as the Gamekeeper's Hut? Only it's rectangular, not that weird, irregular shape that the Hut has, & the ceilings are higher. The walls are... there's antiqued-white baseboards & moulding that goes about four feet up the wall, & the walls are wallpapered with this almost coppery -no, no, it's more pink than copper- colour. Oh, & there's gold detailing on the wallpaper. There are paintings on the wall – really fancy, old ones- & a large, white, canopied bed on one side. It's probably a California king size? There's a vanity table at the wall opposite me, with this fancy white vanity chair. There's an elegant woman swooping around the room. No, not actually swooping as in flying, but swooping as in she's so graceful that she probably could fly if she tried. Fine. There's an elegant woman moving very gracefully around the room. Happy? Anyway, she sits down at the vanity table & she's admiring herself. She's dressed in this elegant white ball gown that fits her really well. It's a strapless, & it clings to her body except for the mermaid tail at the end. No, not a real mermaid tail. It's a dress style. Bloody hell, I know I should have asked for a female therapist. You're writing that down, aren't you? Prick. Okay, alright, hold your damn Hippogriffs. Her hair -blonde- is twisted up in an elegant bun at the nape of her neck. She's just admiring herself & applying makeup, & she sees me looking at her in the mirror & she smiles at me. 'Run along, 'Vember,' she says. Then it's done.” #2: The Room. DATE: July 26, 1995. SUBJECT: Valentine, November O. ACTING HEALER: Atticus J. Prior. “This one's short. I'm skipping down a hall. It's dark, probably night time, & I can barely see a thing. The floor's creaky & old – like you – but I know it's not going to break. All the doors in the hallway are closed, & entirely dark except for one, where light is seeping out from under the doorway. It's a weird light, though. It's like that weird underwater light, y'know? Anyway, I open this door, & it's into this room. It's a child's bedroom; there's a bed by the wall, a rocking chair by the window, & toys everywhere. But, not real kids' toys. Like, freaky Muggle ones from like the 1800s. What does the room look like? There's alphabet wallpaper of this weird teal colour, but it's ripped in places, like somebody used Diffindo on it or something. I notice that the rocking chair is rocking, very slowly, but still rocking. & there's music playing; it's clumsy piano music, like there's a kid here learning how to play but they're not doing so well. It's cold. No, not like it's cold now, like its cold in the memory. Yeah. Merlin. I walk in anyway. The rocking chair gradually gets faster, like somebody's getting more & more impatient. There's a letter on the bed, it's slightly yellowed & it was probably written with ink & quill. What do you mean 'obviously'? Don't think I didn't hear that, because I did. I don't know what else they would write with, okay? But since there's Muggle toys they might be using Muggle writing utensils. Ever heard of a pencil, Healer Prior? Merlin. So, I try to read this letter, & I hear the rocking chair creaking faster & faster – well, it was rocking faster & faster, but I couldn't see it 'cause I was looking at the paper. Write that down – & I'm starting to get a little freaked out. Finally, I make out what the words say. 'YOU COULD HAVE SAVED HER'. Then a scream. Then there's nothing.” |
