GENDER: Male. DATE OF BIRTH: February 2. SEXUAL ORIENTATION: Asexual. CURRENT RESIDENCE: Hogwarts. CURRENT OCCUPATION: Student. HOGWARTS HOUSE: Hufflepuff. BLOOD STATUS: Muggleborn. WAND: Rowan, eleven inches, Augurey feather. PERSONALITY: Above all else, Levi is an artist. Growing up in a family of musicians, he can't help but be a virtuoso. However, his first love is visual art. Levi always has a sketchbook with him, & he doesn't always pay attention in class due to getting absorbed in his drawings. He can always see an obscure side to things, & often has very original ways of solving problems. He is an extremely right-brained thinker; this can be a problem during classes, as most of them are rather by-the-book. However, his creativity helps him in some magical fields, such as dueling. Levi took up dueling in his second year, & has become quite involved in the Dueling Club. Perfectionism is definitely a significant part of Levi. He likes things to be [his definition of] perfect, & can freak out a little bit when they're not. He's fussy only about certain things, such as his artwork, music, & schoolwork. His essay has to look good for him to let himself hand it in. If it's not, then he hums and hahs over it until he finds that piece that makes it click with him. He's highly illogical except when it comes to his work. Like a good Hufflepuff, Levi is extraordinarily loyal. He will do literally anything for his friends & family & to keep them safe. He's very protective of them, & will leap to their rescue if they need him. When first years come into the school, Levi is pretty much the first person older than they to befriend them. He's unbelievably nice to everybody, & will go out of his way to make somebody feel better or help them out. This often makes him late for class or miss it altogether. He falls behind because of this, but is still eventually able to catch up. When Levi gets angry, he takes the passive-aggressive approach. He never raises his voice, but responds with a cool fierceness that he can hold for ages. He will never take offense during anything other than a duel; instead he prefers to defend what is been attacked. He is a debater, rather than a warrior. When he was eight years old, Levi was diagnosed with ADHD-C (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder - Combined Hyperactive-impulsive & Inattentive ). He's rarely able to sit still, & will often excuse himself from class to go take a walk. He's a kinaesthetic learner, & often uses his sketchbook as something to do to keep himself from fidgeting & to keep his mind on track. He has had to go up to teachers & ask for extra help, simply because he cannot absorb information through reading or hearing it. He often has to ask permission to modify the assignments so that they're more hands-on. BACKGROUND: "First off, it's pronounced LEE-VANDER. Not LUH-VANDER. I've even gotten 'Lavender' before. Lavender is a plant & a colour & certainly not me. I'm Levi. Quite frankly, I'm surprised that you didn't already know who I am. But I'll get moving, yeah? I offer you a preemptive apology for any time that I stray off-course, because that happens a lot. So, anyways. Me. So, my mom was born in Jamaica, but her family's from Toronto, which is some big city in Canada. I've been there a few times, to visit family, & it's actually a decent place. It's pretty smoggy sometimes & it's sketchy after about nine p.m., but it's generally pretty cool. My dad was born in Bradford in England, but his family's from some Middle Eastern country. I'm the fourth born out of five children, & I'm going to tell you a little bit about them because they're pretty cool. Oh, but first I should tell you that my parents had a pattern with names. Our first names will be Greek, or something derived from it, because both my parents are totally into mythology & stuff like that. Our middle names will be taken from Shakespearean plays, because apparently Shakespeare was a pretty cool guy. Personally, I'm not a fan because there's too many words & pentameters & what the hell is the different between prose & verse because they both sound like poetry to me. Sorry. Anyway, my eldest brother's name is Arcadius Belarius. Arcadia was (is?) some place in Greece & then there was something to do with a bear. Belarius is basically like Shakespearean Tarzan, only with two sons that he stole. Cayd is, well, a bit of a cad. Then there's Kallias Balthazar. Kallias means "beauty" or whatever, & then Balthazar was the alter-ego of some lady. Kal is pretty much a jerk. I called him "Kallius" once & he punched me in the stomach. Third is Hero Capucius. Hero is basically self-explanatory, & Capucius was some politician. He likes his name fine, so I won't get punched if I say it. Then there's me, the coolest brother. Levander Demetrius. Levander comes from "Leander" which means "lion man". You'd think I'd be a Gryffindor. & Demetrius was some guy in a funny play. I remember that I liked that play because there was one guy who got called an ass & his head turned into a donkey's head. That's all I remember. But, please, call me Levi. & last but not least, my sister: Melissa Hermione. She's the only one with a somewhat normal name. Melissa means "bee" or "wasp" or something like that, & then Hermione (also the name of a former Headmistress & Golden Trio member, so ultimately cool) is an Italian queen who dies & then comes back to life. None of that's actually important. So, um, I'll just wrap it up kind of quickly. I came to Hogwarts, & my family's been really supportive of the whole "Oh my God, Levi's a freaking wizard" deal. I was sorted into Hufflepuff, & I met my four best friends (Max, Dash, Brax, & Snakeface as I so fondly call him because he's a Slytherin & none of the rest of us are). So that's the end. I think. Maybe. Oh, & I'm in the Dueling Club & on the Quidditch team. I'm Hufflepuff's Keeper." |
