[/div] oh you'll never disappear until i give PERMISSION DEAR, 'CAUSE YOUR ALWAYS GONNA ALWAYS BEE KNEE DEEP [/div] amber was surprised to find that there was not just one person of interest in this place, but two. two for her, anyway. she'd already ran into her mother, which was brilliant because she'd seemingly exhausted every possible lead to find her and had almost gotten close to given up. she probably would have given up on finding her by now, if it wasn't for the promise that she'd made her father. she'd promised that she'd find her, and she was going to make it happen, if only to say that leaving him to find her was more than worthwhile, and she'd achieved her goal. she also hoped that somewhere, somehow, her father was watching over her and knowing that she'd finally done it, she'd located her birth mother, and all was well with the world. but evelyn matthews had informed amber green that she worked with someone at hogwarts named mr green, and she had to go and look after that. she'd looked on over one of his lessons, and her heart had almost stopped, knowing it was him. she couldn't stay for long or he'd have noticed though, and she didn't want it to go down like that.
they'd not parted on the best circumstances, considering that she'd massacred a bunch of people and he'd taken the blame and ran off. she'd looked for him before too but had no luck. hogsmede and hogwarts held more for her than she'd originally ever thought. she'd followed mike home once too, successfully as he didn't seem to notice someone was there. now, with his home location in mind, amber planned the best way to reintroduce herself to her husband. how many women, after one hundred and fifty six years, had to go through this? amber was willing to bet that she was most definitely the only one to ever have to do it. amber picked an hour where he was at school, but not for much longer, decided she'd head to his home then. it didn't take long to remember the way and after she was sure she'd found the correct door, she used her handy vampire strength to 'open' the door, so to speak, and made herself at home. she looked good, she knew it, but checked herself in the mirror several times anyway. why not make sure that you look good for your husband of over 100 years?
she got herself comfortable on the sofa and picked up a book from her bag, and started to make her way through it. she got lost in the pages, she would admit it, but as a ravenclaw, it was something that she was used to doing, so the time flew by. it was only when her hearing picked up oncoming footsteps did she mark her page, smirk, and put the book back in her bag. she crossed her legs and focused her gaze on the door frame. when a blonde figure became framed in it, she smirked. "ah honey, you're home! long time no see" amber greeted, raising from the chair and zipping over to give her husband a welcoming kiss on the lips. well why not, it wasn't like they weren't married or anything![/div] MIKE'S THREAD. He needed a lie down and that was exactly what he was planing on doing, he'd just taught a class of rather unruly kids and he just needed to relax for a bit, he was tempted to go get himself a drink, an alcoholic one not a blood one, alcohol had always been a good way to relax, although the effects on him were next to nothing these days, he just liked the atmosphere of a pub, he wasn't even sure what it was.
Mike didn't go to the pub however, he'd decided to just go home and go to bed. Mike made his way into his building and slowly made his way to his door. That was when he noticed something suspicious, the door had been broken open. Great, i've been robbed Mike thought to himself, sniffing the air slightly, there was somebody still inside, it was a strangely familiar smell but he just couldn't place it.
Mike swung the door open and was just about to yell at the intruder when his eyes fell on who was before him. He instantly became speechless and froze on the spot. He'd never expected to see her again, especially not today, he'd just expected to come home and get some sleep. "wha.." he started but didnt even know what was going to come afterwards. Then she kissed him, he was still a little shocked at her appearance but her lips felt right against his so he instantly kissed her back for a while until pulling away and saying "You didnt have to break my door"

[/div] oh you'll never disappear until i give PERMISSION DEAR, 'CAUSE YOUR ALWAYS GONNA ALWAYS BEE KNEE DEEP [/div] his smell had invaded her nose before he stepped into the house, and she sighed, remembering his scent. it was so familiar, but she'd missed it. she'd missed him. she couldn't help but remember the day that she'd met him. if she'd not applied for that bar tending job she would never have met him. she was glad that a friend of hers at the time had heard and suggested it. no magic was involved in the winning of that job, either, she'd won it from him fair and square. apparently mike had been too curious though and had returned to the pub in order to see who got the job. they'd hit it off after that. it seemed like yesterday, she could remember it so well. and their wedding day. it had been a small do, just a few witnesses for the legal side of it, but it had still made her one of the happiest people around. she hoped that she'd made him feel the same, for a small while at least. or maybe she could make up for that now.
if he hadn't found someone of course, as he was a good looking and charming guy, and she wouldn't be very surprised at all if he had found someone by now. she would have been disappointed of course, he was her husband and she would consider doing whatever it took to get him back, but of course if whoever he was with made him happier, she'd have to deal with that. of course it was something that she should have probably expected, after over a hundred years, but then it had never crossed her mind until now. she couldn't smell anyone else with him though so at least she knew that he was alone for now. that they would be alone for now. and she couldn't blame him for finding someone else either, as she'd not been the most faithful of wives, to be fair. it had been a long time though, and surely he would forgive her after it would have been so long.
his reaction was obvious, he didn't expect that, and she was so glad to surprise him, her reaction made her day. well, his kiss made her day, but that was to be expected too. his statement made her laugh. [b"well you see, it's a very funny thing. my husband seems to have forgotten to tell me where he was hiding the spare key. or where he was hiding himself for that matter" amber replied, cocking her head to the side and raising her eyebrows. she was more than glad to have run into him, and more than surprised that she had. it was something that she hadn't expected when she planned her trip home, to find her long lost mother and her long lost husband in one go. that was very lucky. very lucky indeed. "but then my husband is a very forgetful person. never mind though, i managed to track you down eventually." she added, smirking. and that was by sheer luck. she was so thankful her mother had mentioned him or this wouldn't have been possible. amber took mike's hand and led him to the sofa, and then sat down herself, leaning against him. "tell me, why did you take the blame for me that day, michael green, and then leave me all alone for all those years without a clue where you had gone?" she asked the question that had been on her mind for every single day of all those years.[/div] MIKE'S THREAD. He wished he could go back in time and give himself some sort of a warning but no, he'd had no warning and he'd been caught completely off guard. He wasnt sure what she wanted to happen, he wasnt really sure what he wanted to happen but a lot of time had passed and even though they had just kissed and it had felt so right, he wasnt sure if she was still the woman he loved, he'd have to find out now though.
"The spare key is above the door" he told his wife, there was a tiny ledge that it'd rest on, invisible to the eye until touched though, he wasn't stupid enough to not put a spell on it. "As for me, i've been hiding myself all over the place, where the hell have you been?" he asked in response, he had come back for her after he figured the commotion had died down, which was a few years but she had gone by then so he'd just carried on with his life hoping he'd find her again someday and now he had, well she'd found him.
"I am not forgetful, it's hard to tell someone where you are when you dont even know where they are" he pointed out then paused for a moment and added "How did you track me down anyway?" he hadn't made it very hard as he never changed his name, he'd go by a few aliases sometimes but he'd always go back to michael green eventually.
He felt Amber take his hand and lead him to the sofa, his body just did as it was told and followed sitting himself next to her, he put an arm around her, everything felt so right like he could be happy again but he was slightly sceptical, there was always a catch and he had yet to see this one which was keeping him on his toes, only slightly though, he was mainly still shocked. "When you love someone you protect them" he told her simply turning to look at her just to make sure she actually was there, he was half expecting to wake up and it all to be a dream.

[/div] oh you'll never disappear until i give PERMISSION DEAR, 'CAUSE YOUR ALWAYS GONNA ALWAYS BEE KNEE DEEP [/div] to be truthful, amber wasn't sure what she wanted to happen next, but being there with him, kissing him, having him hold her, it felt so natural that she fell back into it instantly, like a comfortable pair of slippers that she'd not worn for a while. it was so comforting and welcoming and she couldn't resist smiling when he put his arm around her on the sofa. "thanks for the tip, and as for the door, i can have it fixed if you want. my treat" she teased. fixing a door that she broke wasn't exactly what one could call a treat, but there we have it. she was sorry for breaking in, but she wanted to surprise him. he hadn't seemed to have remembered her scent which was a little disappointing, but it had been a hundred and something years, so she would forgive him for that of course. it was nice that he did tell her. though she was his wife, what else should she have expected. whether she still loved him though, she wasn't sure. it had been a long time, and that was something that she needed time with him again to find out. it wasn't hard to love michael green though, she'd found that out the first time she knew him, back when she was human. "i tried to find you but every time i thought i got close, i wasn't. you weren't the only one i was looking for, remember" she added. he'd known about her mother being a vampire, she'd confessed that to him after they got married, and told him all about the promise to her father. "i was keeping my promise. i was enjoying the life which you gave me. i spent time in france, and in america, i went everywhere looking for my mother. the amazon rainforest is lovely. i met a woman there, she gave me an enchanted ring, letting me walk in the sun. after that, i had no weakness. nothing stopping me from going wherever i wanted, whenever i wanted." amber explained. had he gone back for her? it sounded like it. "you came back for me?" she asked, raising an eyebrow. he'd given no indication that he would, and she didn't feel safe there any more. she was sad to leave but it was necessary to make sure she was safe. how long would it have been before they worked out it was her? she wasn't willing to risk that, she couldn't. so she'd left. when he asked how she'd found him, she smiled. "you'll never believe it. i met my mother. she looks like me, it was an amazing feeling. and right by my father's grave, mike. she lives here. she works here. she said she worked with you" she told him, looking up at him with a bright smile on her lips. nothing had changed, or at least it felt that way. a hundred years hadn't changed anything for her, she still cared. she'd had to forget how much she'd cared for him for the most part as not to upset herself. it was necessary, again. but she couldn't forget once his name came from her mothers lips. she'd never thought she'd find him again, as much as she'd hoped she would, but she was actually here, in his arms. she snuggled closer to mike, barely able to believe that this wasn't all just some amazing dream. she had her family back. "No, i'll fix it later" he told her "After all these years, you can treat me in other ways" he joked with a wink, he's instantly fell back into how he was when she'd been human, it was weird it was like she'd somehow just reset him and made him himself again, he had been feeling like something had been missing and maybe this was what it was.
Mike wasn't really sure if he was ready for her yet though, he was still shocked and his mind was racing but he was sure that he still had feelings for her and that he probably always would. "I know" Mike said with a nod, he probably could have made it easier for her to find him but he hadnt and there was no use in living in the past now. "I'm glad you've lived" he told her, he just wished it had been with him and not alone.
Mike nodded at her question "You're my wife, of course i came back" he told her, he knew that her not being there was a possibility so when he had returned and she hadnt been there he'd already come to terms with it, he had missed her though, he'd blocked most of the thoughts of her from his head though as he felt there was no use in living in the past and that if one day they were to meet again then they would, and they did.
When Amber said she met her father a smile formed on Mike's face, he knew how much that meant to her but then as she continued to speak it faded slightly. Evelyn Matthews, why he hadn't put it together was over his head, maybe his brain had convinced itself that she had said some other name than Amber or maybe he'd made it so the date's didn't match up, all he knew was he should have been able to put two and two together but he hadn't. Oh god, she's my mother in law he thought as an afterthought, that was a weird thought in itself. "I believe she does" he told her squeezing her tighter and placing a kiss on her head.

[/div] oh you'll never disappear until i give PERMISSION DEAR, 'CAUSE YOUR ALWAYS GONNA ALWAYS BEE KNEE DEEP [/div] amber felt something in this moment that she hadn't felt in a long time. she'd been with other men, but none had made her feel like mike did. she hadn't been with him for one hundred odd years, and here he was, still able to make her feel whole again. she'd hoped that she'd run into him one day. that day he left would always be burned into her memory, from the blood dripping from her lips, staining her dress, to the things that he'd done to save her life. that's why he had left, not because he was mad, but because she wasn't safe. she'd wanted to stay in the hope that he'd come back for her, but amber didn't feel safe there, to be honest, she just didn't think that it would be long before she slipped up again and someone came for her once more. mike was already gone, who was going to run away and take the blame for her now? so she had to go. it had broken her heart, packing her clothes, leaving their home behind, but it had to be done. she'd never been back there since. it had probably gone to wreck and ruin by now. maybe they should go back, buy it and do it up. or maybe it was better to leave that place to the memories.
she couldn't help but grin at his words. he hadn't changed one bit, had he? it was weird, he seemed much more animated than he had been when she'd came to see him without him knowing her. seeing him that first time was amazing and terrible at the same time. all she wanted to do was run over and wrap herself around him, but that wasn't how she wanted them to meet again, she wanted it to be private, so she had him all to herself. besides, it would raise some questions if some random girl came up and threw herself at the flying teacher and he reciprocated. they'd have to get a story straight, now. he had a life here, and she wouldn't be surprised if no one knew what he was. she wanted that, for no one to know, people didn't like vampires being around their children. she'd gotten a big load of self control in the years that she'd been away, and she could resist temptation now. it was a shame that she'd not had this level of control all those years ago, or they wouldn't have been separated. "oh i see what you want. massage? cooked dinner? me to wash your clothes?" she teased, knowing exactly what he'd meant. "i only wish that i got to do and see all those things with you" she said with a sigh. "what about you, what have you been doing all these years, my love?" she asked, running her fingers through his hair affectionately. she felt so bad that she hadn't been there when he'd returned, but it couldn't be helped. "i'm sorry i didn't stay, i wasn't safe there any more. i wasn't ready to be around people so much, i was a danger to them and so they were a danger to me. i had to leave" amber explained, playing with the ring on her finger. she was wearing her wedding ring again, and absent-mindedly glanced down to see if he still was wearing his. of course not. hers had become a little tarnished in all those years she'd kept it, but she could easily take it into some jewelry store to have it 'refurbished' if that was the right word. his ring wasn't there. she expected it, but it was still a tad disappointing. "you aren't wearing your ring. did you lose it?" amber asked, reaching for his wedding finger. she remembered slipping his ring onto it, and couldn't help but smile fondly at the memory. "i couldn't believe my luck when i found her, and then it got even more unbelievable when she mentioned you" she said with a smile. her heart raced when he kissed her forhead. "i missed you so much, michael" amber whispered, snuggling closer into his chest.[/div] MIKE'S THREAD. WEARING THIS. CONTAGIOUS CHEMISTRY BY YOU ME AT SIX. He would enjoy having his wife back for a while first, as it seemed he did have his wife back, as long as she was acting like she used to he had no need to worry about anything, not just yet anyway.
"I could do with having some of my clothes washed" he joked back at her, it was good to get back to being himself, it had been a while since he felt like he had anyone he could actually be himself around, fangs and all. "I've done a lot, yet nothing really" he told his wife with a shrug "Nothing of too much interest anyway" he said slightly lying, he'd done a lot of interesting things but he could fill her in on them some other time, he still was a little flabbergasted but it was fading fast now.
"I understand, i'd have left too if i were you, i don't blame you, i should have worked out a way we could have both left together" he told her with a shrug, he'd spent many nights awake wondering what he could have done better, he had a lot of regrets in his life but if he stop to think of all of them he would probably drive himself insane so he didnt, he would just carry on like he always would. "Yeah, you know me, i'd loose my head if it wasn't attached" again not strictly telling the truth, he knew where his ring was, at least where it was last time he saw it, it might still be there, it might have gone, either way it was in america and he wasn't about to go all the way there just to get his ring.
Mike wrapped his arms around her and snuggled down into the sofa as much as he could and smile. "I am hard to not miss" he told her with a wink, knowing she'd left it as a que for him to tell her he'd missed her too. "I hate to ruin the moment.. but we need to sort out some ground rules" he told her, he didnt want a repeat of last time and he didnt want his cover blown so they'd need to come up with something.

[/div] oh you'll never disappear until i give PERMISSION DEAR, 'CAUSE YOUR ALWAYS GONNA ALWAYS BEE KNEE DEEP [/div] amber didn't know what would happen next, but she did know that she didn't want to lose him again, and certainly wouldn't let herself lose him again. not a chance, she'd been through years without him before, plenty of years, and that was enough time to spend without him for twelve lifetimes, let alone the, uh, two or three that she'd lived. she'd been chasing her mother for three lifetimes, apparently. that sounded weird, so many years, and now she'd finally found her, and it happened to be right in the same place as her husband. how had he not known that evelyn was her mother? maybe he'd just not put it together. maybe he'd been trying not to think about his wife, just like amber had tried not to think about her husband, so it all slipped his mind? that was plausible and she couldn't blame him. matthews wasn't the rarest name, it could have been someone else anyway. she was just lucky. very lucky, apparently.
amber smiled, honestly she would have been happy to wash clothes or make food or do anything he wanted. she wanted to look after him again and be a proper wife. the cheating stopped, the only reason it happened was because she was lonely, and now she'd never be lonely again. all three of them could leave together when things got suspicious. they didn't need to leave one another again. it was so perfect! "i thought as much" amber joked, sniffing the air as if there was a smell hanging around in it. and not a nice smell either. of course this was false, he didn't smell, and she knew he'd know she was joking. "i wish you'd been there with me, seeing all those things that i did. the eiffel tower is especially perfect at night time. seeing all the people moving about by your feet, and knowing that they could live and die beneath you and you'd still be able to be stood there, age not taking a single hour from you" amber explained what she'd been thinking looking down at the people on the roads. it was the same with every human who walked past. they could live, eat, sleep and breathe all they wanted, but you'd be the one to see their grandchildren, and their great grandchildren, walking past you just like they were. and so on and so forth. it wasn't nice knowing that if you knew a human they would probably die. everyone she knew from childhood had, that she knew about at least. they'd all gone, so many years ago, and yet here she was, just as young and as amazed by the world as she was then. "don't beat yourself up over it, love, we're here now. together" amber said, brushing hair out of his eyes and planting a kiss on his forehead. amber didn't expect him to have his ring on all those years later, though it would have been sweet. she would admit that she'd been wearing hers, yes, but on and off, depending on who she was with or what she was doing. try explaining to someone that yes you are married, but after you killed a bunch of people he went away and you never saw him again. no surprises there. when mike mentioned ground rules, she nodded enthusiastically. she wanted to be in his life here, not disrupt or ruin it. "of course, we'd need a cover for us. assuming, that you still want us." she added, biting her lip a little. she wanted him, and she knew all the cuddling was a good sign, but she wanted to be sure that there was no one else, just her, and he did want her back as his wife.[/div] MIKE'S THREAD. It was a lot to take in, he had actually not really thought about Amber in a while, she'd always been there in the back of his mind but that was it, he'd not let himself think about her. Now she was back and he loved her but he'd changed, he'd matured a lot and had done a lot since her and so had she most likely, he was still a little uncertain about everything but if he could make it work he would.
Mike smiled as she joked about him smelling, she could always make him smile, it was both one of the best things about her and one of the most annoying, sometimes he wanted to just be in a mood and be alone for a while but she'd come along and make him smile and he couldn't carry on being moody. Mike nodded"Yeah, the Eiffel tower at night truly is beautiful" he told her, he'd been to the Eiffel tower too, he'd spent quite some time in France.
Mike nodded, yes they were here together now, but it'd have been better if they'd never been apart although there was no changing that now, what was in the past was just that and there was absolutely nothing he could do to change that. Mike was unsure if all of this was going to be okay, he was always sceptical when it came to good things, usually there's a catch and he couldnt see this one, he was still unsure if that was a good thing or a bad thing, he was hoping it was a good thing and that there would be no nasty little surprises waiting for him.
Mike nodded "Of course i still want us" he told her planting a gentle kiss on her lips and then smiling. "I'm fairly sure i agreed to the entire, till death do us part thing" he pointed out with a little smirk on his face.

[/div] oh you'll never disappear until i give PERMISSION DEAR, 'CAUSE YOUR ALWAYS GONNA ALWAYS BEE KNEE DEEP [/div] amber believed there was a reason for everything. a reason to meet mike in the first place, a reason that her mother left, a reason that she was here, now, back in his arms at least. if her mother hadn't left, she wouldn't have met mike, the man that she loved, the man that she married, and the man that would save her life. if she hadn't met mike, she wouldn't have had the time in her lifetime to locate her mother. if she hadn't located her mother, she wouldn't have come across mike again. what the whole end of this was, she didn't know, but maybe the ending was that everyone she cared about was happy again. her mother had her daughter, amber had her husband and mike had his wife. they could be all together and happy again. amber looked at mike with a loving expression. "look at you, still as gorgeous as ever, michael green. and every bit the charmer" she said with a smile, remembering the day that they'd met. they'd hit it off. looking back, she wondered if he ever meant to let it get so far, to marry her. had she started out as something else to him? just someone he could have and leave? amber wasn't the type of person who you could just drop and forget about. oh no, she was a memorable woman, and she knew that, heck, she made sure of it. he clearly hadn't forgot about her, or the way he'd felt about her either, and that was comforting, it was something that she'd worried about. she'd not known, when she turned up, if he'd remember her, or if he'd have moved on and found someone else. she didn't want to interrupt any happiness that he'd found himself here, but he was her husband, and had he been in a relationship she'd have made this clear. she wouldn't have just gone away. when you spend years looking for someone who you cared deeply for, you don't just leave them be when you find out they'd found someone else. she cared too much about mike to let this opportunity pass her by. she had matured a lot though, she knew that the people you cared about could leave you so easily, it was better to keep them close. she'd lost her mother, her husband, any human friends that she had. it wasn't like she could go around turning all her mates into vampires and giving them everlasting life was it? there'd be too many, it'd be too noticeable, and as much as she hated them dying, and missed them, there was nothing that she could do. years had taught her this and she now tried not to get close to human people for fear that she'd lose them. she'd never lose mike again though. till death do they part and all that. when he mentioned the eiffel tower she felt sad. what if they'd been in paris at the same time? what if they'd just missed each other? amber dare not ask the year that he went, the month, the day, in case it did collide and she'd be kicking herself forever that she could have been with him again. her heart almost leapt out of her chest, it felt like, when he said he still wanted her, and kissed her lips. she kissed back and sighed when he moved his lips away. "that you did, and i intend to fully hold you to that." she beamed back. "so, what's our cover? old childhood sweethearts, i ran back into you, we hit it off and had a quick and quiet marriage? or have we got something better?" she asked, wondering what story they'd be spinning to anyone who asked about them. her mother could know the truth, of course, she had no reason to lie to her. "and how do you feed?" she asked, wondering how he managed to stay here, where he fed from and how he did it without going unnoticed. she'd have to be careful as well as not to mess up their life here again. assuming he hadn't been here so long as to have to move on again. but from what she'd gathered, this wasn't the case and she was thankful. He was still a slytherin schoolboy at heart. "Well, you're not that repulsive yourself" he said with a small laugh, she'd always been somewhat of an anomaly in his life, she'd originally supposed to be a drink, maybe a play thing, then he fell for her, his mother always had told him not to play with his food, maybe he should have listened, he'd probably be completely different today, he wasn't sure if it would be better or worse.
Mike thought for a while trying to come up with a reasonable story. "How about old childhood sweethearts who got married and live happily but you've been working away because the pay's better and we weren't doing so good financially, you can come up with the job" he suggested, he figured the running back to him would probably just raise more questions but this one would probably just lead to questions like "why didnt you tell us about her Mike" or "So Amber, what work do you do?", simple things they could work out fairly easily.
Mike stood up when she asked him how he fed, ok so sometimes he would feed off people when his supplies were running low but he decided not to mention that part. Mike took her hand and lead her towards the fridge. Opening it he revealed his supply of blood bags that he'd been getting from St.Mungo's secretly. "Warm a bag up and it's almost as good as drinking it fresh" he said with a small smile, it had took him a rather long time to get it all sorted that he could just not hurt people.

[/div] oh you'll never disappear until i give PERMISSION DEAR, 'CAUSE YOUR ALWAYS GONNA ALWAYS BEE KNEE DEEP [/div] amber caught the smirk and smiled. she always had known he'd like being complimented. she had a feeling, after getting that job, that he wouldn't like losing out on it either, and would come and see who one. in all honesty, she was glad he did, after everything he meant to her and had done for her. he had loved her, and looked after her, and given her everlasting life. she wouldn't lie either, that if she'd wanted a child, he would be the only one she'd have wanted for the father. amber had long accepted that pregnancy and being a mother was the one thing that she'd not get to experience. once, that might have been what she wanted, but amber had things that she'd wanted more, like spending forever with him, and more of a chance of finding her mother, and hundreds of lifetimes so that she could experience every other thing that the world had to offer. that seemed like a fair sacrifice, considering all the things that she'd gained. "oh well thank you! though i think you'd do well to work a bit on your compliments" she teased. they had plenty of time for him to work on them, as amber wasn't going to do anything to mess things up this time. she knew the silence was michael, thinking of their cover story. she just enjoyed being in his arms, and snuggled close, pressing a kiss to his cheek and smiling to herself. his story wasn't a bad one. "perfect, hm, dragon tamer? curse breaker? let's see, what could i be?" she pondered aloud, thinking of the jobs that she could have done. "i think maybe i worked with dragons in romania for a while. and of course, there was learning all about them for a few years before hand before i actually got the job, so that should cover it." she said with a smile, before adding on. "but you worried about me being in such a dangerous environment and so i agreed to come back?" she teased. she was a danger in herself. she had the power to kill people in a split second, to turn a whole load of people against her and wreck her life. she'd done it before. she wasn't going to do it again. "how long exactly have you been here?" amber asked, knowing it was something she'd need to know. there were a bunch of other questions too, but that one was quite important. amber held mike's hand and tried to fight the silly smile that found it's way to her face. she couldn't help it. he made her feel like she was young and alive and free again. although technically at just 23 she was young, she was much, much older than that in reality. she followed where he led and peered in to his fridge. "ohh snazzy, care to join me for a drink?" amber asked, taking a bag out. it would be weird at first, she could tell, but she could cope with that. in fairness, he hadn't had a bad method, though drinking from people without killing them was plausible, as she'd been doing it for a while, it did take a ridiculous amount of self control, which was good in a way because she'd trained herself to be able to resist and stop when she needed to. feeding from people didn't necessarily mean until death, any more. "i take it that no one knows what you are then?" she asked, though the answer to her was obvious, she wanted to confirm that his secret was safe. "and what's going on at the castle? anything interesting?" thinking he'd have probably given her the hogwarts gossip in little letters that they'd have written to each other, had their lie of a life been true.[/div] MIKE'S THREAD. "I'll make sure to work on that" he told her with a small nod.
Mike nodded as she told him what she could have possibly been doing, it sounded good to him. "Okay, sounds good, you might wanna read up a little bit on dragons, just to make sure, i'll get you some books from the library" he told her with a smile. Everything seemed to be falling into place, it was good, no, it was great. "I've been here a while, long enough to get this home, my job and get used to this new lifestyle" he told her, he wasnt sure how long it had been exactly, it didnt feel like very long but then again living to his age wasnt exactly normal so time became irrelevant.
Mike was glad she was fine with drinking from bags not people, it would prevent a lot of issues occurring, although sometimes he did just think screw it and drink from someone. "Yeah, i'll have some, dont forget to warm it up a little though, trust me cold blood is not nice" he told her, he'd actually drank cold blood for about a week before realising it'd taste better warmed up a bit. "Only you and your mother" he told her, he'd bonded slightly with Evelyn over that, although he was still a little cautious as to keeping their friendship, he didnt want his cover blown.
Mike wasnt even sure where to begin with her next question. He stepped behind amber and tucked his hands into her pockets pressing himself against her and resting his head against hers thinking how to start. "Well.. one headmistress got attacked by a dementor another went missing, we have a new headmaster at the moment and erm.. the founders came back to life.. yeah.. a lot of stuff is going down"

[/div] oh you'll never disappear until i give PERMISSION DEAR, 'CAUSE YOUR ALWAYS GONNA ALWAYS BEE KNEE DEEP [/div] amber knew full well that his skills in complimenting someone were top notch, but she'd always been the type of person to joke around with him and wind him up over little things. he'd given her plenty of compliments in the past that had definitely worked, considering that all these years later, and she was still in love with him. he was her husband though, and it wasn't like she would marry any old so and so. he had to be special, and michael green was most definitely special. this was something that had been proven time and time again over the years, and that wasn't just because he was a vampire. it was his personality that was special, the way he treated people, the way he treated her, his charm, his smile, his smarts. he was just a big bundle of special, and although she wouldn't admit this to him lest it go to his head, it was true. he probably knew it, but knowing it and having someone admit it to you were two different things. amber knew this, she'd been there. over the years she'd had admirers, and most of them were the people who provided her their blood happily and willingly. they forgot about her, though, she made sure of that. couldn't have them telling stories about her, that would ruin the whole great thing she had going on. but now she had something even greater going on, and she couldn't be more thankful for that. "you best do, you must have let things slip whilst i was gone. evidence that you missed me?" she asked with a cheeky smile. she grinned when he said he'd get her books from the library. everything seemed to fall right into place! and he was so sweet, thinking of doing that for her. the constant reading would be boring though. she might even have to be locked away whilst she red up on it, in case anyone asked questions before she was ready. after that she could look into getting a job around town. maybe a bar tending job, there were pubs here, she knew that, and she could stick her head in there. telling someone her working experience was funny. she had to make sure the jobs she said were reasonable and in the last few years. of course her experience would be the dragon thing. damn, maybe she'd have to say she was a fast learner and pick everything up real quick at the bar. yeah, that could work. unless hogwarts wanted a resident (non) dragon specialist? somehow she didn't think so. she would most definitely avoid the care of magical creatures teacher, unless they were real interested in her work, that could be awkward. she'd have to learn that profession inside and out, most definitely. "that would be most useful, thank you" she said with a grin. "it's all working out, finally, isn't it?" she asked, pressing a quick kiss to his lips. "oh, i have an apartment in town too. i didn't bet on running into my husband who owns a house. maybe we can rent that out for some extra cash? it's got furniture coming this week" amber suggested. she could easily do it up a little. some paint here, some furniture there and it would be fit for renting. she could look into sorting out papers and things for that, it would be a nice little moneymaker presuming they could get the legal stuff sorted fast and find a nice tenant to move in. easy peasy, she was sure there were magical lawyers out there that could handle the paperwork and stuff. amber nodded and busied herself with warming up the blood. "it sounds so weird, my mother. i never thought i'd find her, and here i am, with the two of you" she said, shaking her head in disbelief. she was one lucky vampire girl, let us face it. when the blood was sufficiently warm, and smelled good enough, amber poured some into a cup and handed one to mike, before picking up her own and taking a sip. "well if she rats us out, she rats herself out, and she's my mother so she's not going to tell" she said, putting faith in evelyn. she was her daughter, and evelyn probably wanted to protect her. she felt bad that her mother hadn't been able to see her wedding. if only she'd managed to find her sooner. that was a shame. maybe they could renew their vows somewhere along the line so that evelyn could see it. amber relished in his touch, and placed her cup down when it was empty, and enjoyed him holding her. she leant back into him. founders, back to life? "the founders? really? how did they manage that?!" amber said, shocked. she could barely believe what she'd just heard.[/div] MIKE'S THREAD. WEARING THIS.
