Thane's cocky, cheeky and just plain rude sometimes, he doesnt really care much for others unless there's something in it for himself and enjoys doing everything interdependently as that's how he'd been doing things for the majority of his life. He's also a flirt, flirting with anything that's human.. or human-ish.. as long as it has a pulse. Thane enjoys feeling bigger and smarter and just plain better than other people, he also enjoys music greatly as it has always been present in his life and he often uses it as a way to express himself rather than actually talking with people. Thane also enjoys learning a lot, he doesn't let people know but he spends a lot of time reading and learning as since he found out he was magic the entire world changed and opened up a whole new book of mysteries for him to understand. Thane has many weaknesses, mainly his big-headedness which means he is actually fairly easy to manipulate if someone can word it correctly, he is always up for proving himself better than some other person which is more of a flaw than anything helpful. Thane isnt the kind of person to admit being scared of anything but truthfully he's terrified of a lot, death, the mysterious monsters that he's learned are actually real and not leaving his mark on this world when he eventually does die. Thane really dislikes not knowing something and will often go out of his way to try and work something out whether it be some little fact or somebody keeping a secret, it'll keep him up at night wondering so if you have a secret it's best to not even let him know your hiding anything or he'll become a man on a mission. BACKGROUND: Thane was born in new york and traveled a lot as a kid, his parents both being muggle singers who are nearly always on tour, he spent most of his time on the road with a nanny looking after him, he didnt see much of his parents as they were constantly busy doing something to try and hit the big time although they weren't doing so bad they'd always long for more. At a young age it was made very clear that his parents had set out a plan for his entire life, he ha a vocal coach, he was then to join them on stage and become a singer like them and become famous and rich and make the big time. That didn't happen, he did start joining them on stage but then one night whilst having an argument with his parents he made all the paintings fall off the wall at the same time somehow, at first this confused all of them, until he made a glass explode accidentally a few weeks later. His parents as most muggle's would got scared and then things began to change, things at home got bad and the little Thane did see of his parents became less and he felt abandoned so he took up the opportunity to go to a wizarding school in the US, he went there and with the social skills he'd learnt from his parents made absolutely no friends and eventually got into trouble badly and was then expelled, he then went to Mahoutokoro and pretty much the same thing happened there, his excuse this time being everyone was racist as they were all japaneese and he wasnt, his parents then frantically began searching for schools to take him, Durmstrang Institute wouldn't as he'd a muggle born, Beauxbatons Academy of Magic wouldn't work for fairly obvious reasons if you know how flirty Thane can get and how vain most of them are at Beauxbatons, so his parents told him he had one more option and it was his final chance, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, if it didnt work he'd be on his own, they'd give him no help and he'd be forced to make his own way in the world. So Thane started at Hogwarts, the Headmaster, Professor Styx, seeming to take a liking to the attitude of him had no problem with the fact he'd been in trouble his entire life and so it was that Thane was sorted into Ravenclaw, shown to his dorm, given his list of classes and a little tour around the castle to get his grip on where they are. He's now trying to lay low and not get into too much trouble.. not really, he may be a ravenclaw but he's not going to learn from the past, he likes who he is and doesn't care about others opinions, he's just enjoying having an entirely knew school of people to flirt with and prove himself better than. |
