| [bg=252525] [/style] | [bg=252525][style=overflow: auto; width: 300px; height: 300px; font-family: georgia; font-size: 10px; padding-right: 5px; padding-left: 5px; color: #909090; line-height: 100%; background: #252525; ] FULL NAME: joshua andrew dalton GENDER: male DATE OF BIRTH: july 9th SEXUAL ORIENTATION: heterosexual CURRENT RESIDENCE: dalton estate, scotland CURRENT OCCUPATION: student HOGWARTS HOUSE: slytherin BLOOD STATUS: pure WAND: 11" maple wood with kelpie hair at the core PERSONALITY: if you want to get to know me, you better listen close. some may say i like the sound of my own voice, because i talk too much, so i apoglise in advance, but in my opinion, i have a pretty nice voice if you must know. i like dancing, though i cannot say i am very good at it, unless it is slow dancing (as we had a tutor for that, who didn't take kindly to my suggestion that she teach me break-dancing or grinding instead as it would be more useful and less boring.) i enjoy having a laugh, although sometimes yes, it will come at someone else's expense, but not all the time. apparently i am quite good at making people laugh and that is something i enjoy doing. maybe i'll get a job in a joke store. ha, my mother would not like that at all. i love sarcasm, and am very much so myself. sarcasm is my first form of defence, i think, if anyone insults me, i just give them a very sarcastic answer and pretend it didn't hurt. i love the sun. rain is depressing and puts you in such a horrible mood. this isn't such a good like considering where i live though. i enjoy butterbeer and firewhisky, though butterbeer tastes a bit nicer. converse are my all time favourite shoes, i will admit, they just come in such a wide variety of styles and clothes that they're amazing, they fit with almost anything. and ray bans, for when the sun comes out but it's a tad too bright. they look absolutely awesome too and we have the cash to splash out on a real pair, no imitations for me. did i mention that we all have access to a mini account which our parents made for us which has a shit-ton of money? yeah, awesome right? i love slytherin house, although i cannot lie, i'd rather be at home with my non-breakdancing tutor than here, forced to conform to their timetables. i enjoy spending time with girls and with my family of course. i don't like organization, which is one of my parent's favourite things, i tend to be a lot more spontaneous, and don't like huge plans for the future. i don't like people who take everything seriously, they can be very boring. i don't like rules, or having to follow them, as i'd much rather just be left to do what i want. i am good at transfiguration, defence against the dark arts and making people laugh. i tend to try diffusing tension in awkward situations and i like to think that this is something i am good at. unlike potions, which i am not very good at. nor charms either. and i'm not good with punctuality, especially if i don't enjoy the thing that i'm late for. i am also afraid of clowns, but don't tell anyone, it's a secret. my other secret is that my family can be pretty messed up, though my parents don't like to admit it. my dream is that i will have a good life that i can do whatever i want with it. my parents, i think, seem to have different ideas, and i am not sure whether i dare conform to them. i want to make my own path, one where there aren't any clowns or boring people. BACKGROUND: family? ha! merlin, we will be here for days. if you didn't guess already, we have a pretty big family. don't even bother asking me birthdays, i barely remember age. we have my mother and father, priscilla ava dalton and andrew ---- dalton (whome i take my middle name from, unfortunately). then we have my father's twin brother, clifford ---- dalton, and his wife, maria ---- dalton. i have a twin sister, bethany priscilla dalton (17) and a little sister, isabella rosalie dalton (15). clifford and maria have three children, starting with the eldest, evelyn marie dalton (17) then there's arthur clifford dalton (16) and then their youngest is harrison ---- dalton (15). there is also my grandmother who i love dearly, and her husband, and then grandparents on my father's side. myself, my parents, my siblings, my aunt and uncle and my cousins all live together in dalton estate, scotland, meaning that we've all grown up with each other and have many fond, and just as many not-so-fond memories of each other. in all honesty though, we function pretty well as a family, if you discount the elder dalton's, who just enjoy trying to control us. my twin, bethany, was born a little ahead of me, and we grew the closest, i think. she's the other half of me, what would you expect? i'd never let anyone hurt her, or any other member of my family. as much as my cousins can annoy me sometimes, i love them all dearly. they are my family, after all, and after all these years together, what would you expect? we never got those hogwarts letters because our parents, in the spirit of controlling what we did with our lives, organised personal tutors to come to the house and teach us. we learned things from the 'lost' language of latin, to spells and potions and care of magical creatures. i also learned to play guitar, and although my singing voice isn't award winning, i can carry a tune pretty well. i grew to be a good student in transfiguration and defence against the dark arts, but i was even more of a good student in the art of making people laugh, especially my little sister, isabella. i guess she isn't so little any more though. there were a few incidents where i was considered a trouble maker. for instance, i am a big toffee lover, and when my parents came back from a little outing to hogsmede with the wrong type of toffee, i wasn't impressed as i had been very specific, and so i might have set their bed on fire using magic. that was fun. i think they managed to douse the flames and repair it pretty well, but i had made my point. i suppose yes, you could say i was spoiled rotten. oh, and then there was that time, where arthur lost his beloved bear, merlin, but it wasn't really lost, myself and my loving sister, bethany, plotted to cause a diversion and then we took the bear and hid it away, and he only found out years later that it was us. that was also very fun. i seem to remember getting up a tad late that morning, and being awoken by his ranting about this silly bear. of course, i'd just woken up and had no idea what he was on about, so i thought that he had gone mad. something easily done in the dalton house. but we made up. as you do, blood runs thicker than water and all that. speaking of, we didn't really get to make much friends outside of dalton estate, because our parents encouraged us to stick together with the rest of the family, and only interact if we could with pure bloods. i suppose that has gone out of the window considering that they will be sending me to hogwarts along with the rest of my family. i think they might have just gotten sick of having us around, but there we have it. i don't really want to go and i am not the only one against it either, unsurprisingly. not to mention that it will only be for one school year and so it's pretty stupid to make myself, bethany and evelyn go. to be fair though at least i won't be under their watchful eye or their control. but i suppose i speak too soon there as i hear they've just planned on putting me in an arranged marriage with some woman who i do not know. i do not like this. not one little bit. |
