I remember when i was a little youth I wanted to fly around the world making a new life Mike sat at home, in his living room, looking around at his surroundings, it was a complete mess, there was clothes everywhere, it as had to believe an adult lived here, it looked like a really messy teenagers bedroom, yet he knew exactly where everything was. He stood up and decided he'd clean up a little, stepping over a pile of dirty t-shirts, jeans and underwear he decided he'd start by cleaning the windows, because everyone could see his windows, nobody could see his floor, not from outside anyway, unless they got right up close to the windows but that would just be creepy and if they got pt off by the mess it was probably a good thing.
He popped Frank Sinatra's that's life on the record player and sang along as he went and got what he needed from the kitchen then began scrubbing a window only to get bored halfway though and begin dancing around singing into a rag he had been using, occasionally picking something up from the floor and placing it somewhere else that looked a little bit less messy. He only stopped twice to put the song on again. He then stood in the doorway looking at his work, ok so it was still a mess, but it was a bit better and for him, it would do, then again he'd slept on the streets before so his standards probably aren't as good as they should be.
He piled all the clothes in the corner making a mental note to wash them later then plonked himself down on the sofa, closed his eyes and tapped his foot along to the music. He then heard a knocking, he didn't have a doorbell, it was one of those things he just kept forgetting he needed. He stood up, unsure at first if he had heard someone knocking his door, he hurried over to the record player, stopped it and stood still in silence, he then heard the knocking again and panicked picking up the clothes making sure he'd got all his dirty underwear and running to the kitchen placing them on the floor were hopefully they would be unseen. "Hold on! I'm coming!" he yelled checking one last time to make sure he hadn't missed some underwear, he really didn't want to literally air his dirty laundry in public. I never thought today I'd be where i am now.

i wanted to be everything on the planet Shortly after her interview with Katherine Dalton, Eve had passed a blond man in the halls of Hogwarts on her way out. During the summer holidays, she had seen him again. Though some strange turn of events, she had found herself exposed as a vampire to him before the new year had even started. Fortunately for her, Michael was also a vampire and so as neither of them wanted anyone else to know, they could trust the other to keep quiet. Their common problem had given them a surprisingly fast friendship but she wasn't about to complain.
Everyone she had known here before was dead which meant she was practically starting from scratch but that was nothing new to her. Eve hadn't known anyone at Salem or Beauxbatons or Durmstrang or any of the other schools she had taught at yet she had still managed to settle in and do her job. As far as she was aware, Michael had done a lot more with his long life than teach but she had stuck to what she knew best in order to try and preserve her humanity. Evelyn had, for the most part, been successful in this.
With a free day to do whatever she wished, Eve would usually have done marking but as term had only recently resumed, she hadn't taught enough content to make it worth setting an essay. There was also the incident involving the former headmistress and setting homework so soon after losing her would just have been insensitive. Instead, she had chosen to visit her new friend. After acquiring his address, she was pleased to see he lived in Hogsmeade which meant it wasn't far to walk. Ever shorter when she considered that she too lived in the village.
Pulling a coat over her dress, Eve checked her hand to ensure her ring was still there. She never removed it in case something happened overnight that resulted in her being unable to retrieve it in the morning. Slipping her feet into a pair of shoes, she stepped out the door, waved her wand over her shoulder to lock it and made her way to the home of her colleague. He would probably be a little surprised to see her but Eve felt they had built up enough of a friendship for her to just turn up. Then again, Either way, he was considered a new arrival to and so she assumed he had just as few friends as she did.
Evelyn could hear Frank Sinatra before she even saw the house. She knocked sharply on the door and waited for a few moments. At first there was no response but when the music stopped, she was sure her presence had been noticed. She knocked again to confirm that she was there before hearing a hurried scuffling of fabric and who knew what else before Michael's voice came towards the door.

I remember when i was a little youth I wanted to fly around the world making a new life Mike looked around one last time imply making sure there as nothing he didn't want to be seen visible from the doorway. He then yelled to whoever was behind the door "Hold on!" then ran to the mirror, there were some people he didn't want to be seen by looking like a mess, he then walked over to the door and opened it laying his eyes on the woman that stood there.
Evelyn Matthews, the one woman who knew his secret that Michael knew was alive, also possibly the one woman one woman who could understand him. He wasn't too sure if he liked the thought of that, she was definitely someone he would have to keep an eye on but so far they had formed a friendship that allowed him to relax around her, for now at least. "Ah, Evelyn and what do i owe the pleasure?" he asked curiously, he wasn't used to people just showing up at his home he then felt rude for not inviting her in.
"Oh, come in, come in, make yourself at home" he said opening the door wider then walking at a rather fast pace to the pile of clothes he had places slightly out of site. He bent down and threw the pile in a nearby cupboard that he usually stored plates in but he didn't really want a woman seeing his dirty clothes, maybe that was his age but he was more comfortable with men seeing his mess, he didn't want a woman to think he couldn't take care of himself.
"Can i get you something to drink? or eat?" he said opening his fridge, it was pretty empty, there were some eggs, a chocolate bar, three bags of blood and a slab of cheese. note to self, fill fridge he thought to himself. He then turned to look at her again for the first time since the doorway, he hoped she hadn't found something to criticise about his home, but the chances were she had, he didn't really do housekeeping too well.
Mike didn't really care about most peoples opinions of him but when came to her he did, she wasn't someone that was just going to die on him which meant she could potentially be around for a long time and he didn't want any tension with anyone that could be around for a long time so he tried extra hard to be on his best behaviour, although occasionally the temptation to say something cheeky got the better of him. I never thought today I'd be where i am now.

i wanted to be everything on the planet The length of time for which she was required to wait made it quite clear to Eve that she wasn't expected but then she had known that already. It appeared that Michael wasn't used to having visitors as it was unlikely he would be taking so long to get to the door if his house was presentable. Was that not to be expected of a man living by himself though? Evelyn on the other hand always made sure her home was tidy. It made it far easier to notice if something had been disturbed by an unwelcome guest and so made it far easier to avoid being staked by someone who had found out.
After what seemed like quite a while, Michael presented himself in the doorway. "To put it bluntly, I don't have any friends and as I have nothing important to be doing, I figured I might as well pay you a visit." Eve had grown accustomed to there being a limit on how long she could stay in one place and so there was no point wasting time with a lead up to things. While at the time it never seemed like time was being wasted, she would always regret something when the time came for her to leave and that was usually associated with not spending her time wisely. What she had often found herself forgetting was that Michael was a vampire too. When she left, she didn't have to lie to him. In the past, she had sometimes continued to write to people she had befriended but the content had often been false. It didn't have to be that way with Mike.
Evelyn smiled as she was invited in and shut the door behind her. As he hurried off somewhere, the professor took the time to look around the room. It appeared to be mostly tidy but having known her brother, she presumed the mess had most likely been moved elsewhere rather than tidied. "Not unless you've got someone locked up in your basement," she replied as he offered her something to eat or drink. A small laugh escaped her lips before she realised it was probably a little early to be cracking out the vampire jokes. "I'm joking. I prefer to catch my own dinner." Some vampires she had met were very strict on themselves and were allowed only to drink from animals or blood banks while others killed just for the fun of it. Eve was somewhere in between in that she wouldn't deny herself the need to drink from humans but she wouldn't kill if she could help it.
"So... what brought you to Hogwarts?" she asked. Having lived for so long, there was a lot that they could discuss but that often made it hard to know where to start. Evelyn had personally found it easier to start at the present and work her way back. Occasionally people jumped straight back to when she was turned so that they could share their own exciting story. Eve had no problem discussing how she had ended up in her current situation but she usually omitted her daughter from such story telling. She had lost count of how many times she'd thought of how different things would be if she hadn't gone out that night. She would never have been attacked and she would never have had to leave Amber. She would have watched her grow up and be happy. She would have been able to stay at Hogwarts and teach until her bones started to fall apart. All that was lost and in the past. All she could do now was make sure the choices she made were the right ones in the foolish hope that it would make up for her past mistakes.

I remember when i was a little youth I wanted to fly around the world making a new life It was nice to have something put so bluntly for a change, often it would take way too long for someone to get to the point. "If you have no friends then what am i?" he pointed t with a small smile then added "You're welcome any time, mi casa es su casa". Okay so he'd have liked a bit more of a warning but she was pretty much his only true friend so he figured she could get some special treatment, although he'd have to keep is place somewhat presentable.
"Hmm.. there may be some spiders down there but weirdly keeping living things locked up in your basement is frowned upon" he said with a small shrug then added "Actually, come to think of it so is drinking blood". Mike closed his fridge and strolled over to his sofa taking a seat and tapping next to him. "take a seat" he said with a smile, if she was going to want to know about his life story she could be thee some time.
"Well.. Hogwarts, when i was just a child, i loved Hogwarts, i had good friends, fun things happened like one time a cockatrice escaped from the tri-wizard tournament. Hogwarts was a place where something was usually happening and i loved it, so when i left Hogwarts i missed it, i eventually got a job there though, as the flying professor, then the vampire business happened so i left.. but now im back because i feel its where im supposed to be right now" he then paused to go over what he had just said in his head, yep that was why he was here.
"What about you? What brings you to Hogwarts?" he asked in both response to her akin but also curiosity, when someone had been alive for as long as she had they became more intriguing and he loved to listen to peoples stories. "Oh, how rude of me, can i take your coat?" he asked noticing she was still wrapped up warm, it had been a long time since his last guest, slowly all his manners were coming back, but not necessarily in the order he needed them back in. I never thought today I'd be where i am now.

i wanted to be everything on the planet "You're the only person I know who can understand and accept what I am which makes you the only person I can trust. I'm hoping that's going to manifest itself as a friendship, hopefully one that will last longer than my time here." While Evelyn did consider Michael a friend, she couldn't forget that they had only recently met and as he was already aware of her biggest secret, she had to be very careful. It wasn't that she didn't trust him, she had to trust him now that he knew, but she didn't want to jump to the conclusion that their shared problem automatically made them friends.
Evelyn nodded as Mike spoke of certain activities being frowned upon. "Indeed. I have no problem with people drinking blood so go ahead if you need to." Well, she had no problem with vampires drinking blood but she did find it ordinary humans drinking blood slightly disturbing. Eve sat down on the sofa beside him as she was invited. She listened to Michael's explanation of how he came to be at the castle before replying to his own question. "Essentially the same turn of events as you. I started teaching here, got pregnant, went on maternity and leave and got attacked by a vampire before I got a chance to come back. I taught all over the world and once I'd exhausted every school I could think of, it was as good a time as any to come back."
Eve had been longing for the day when she could return home. She had popped back for a day or so every twenty years but had somehow found herself fighting in the Battle of Hogwarts. Her house had, by some miracle, not been knocked down over the years to be replaced by newer ones and for this she was very grateful. In order to get it back, she had needed to give the former residents a little... encouragement, but she didn't feel guilty about it. They were still alive and she had retrieved what was rightfully hers. Eve hadn't left the village out of choice and the house had never been officially sold. If people wanted to be technical about the whole situation, she had simply removed squatters from her house. Not that anyone would believe she was the same person who had originally owned the house without telling them she was a vampire.
When Michael offered to take her coat, she slid it off of her shoulders, shoved her bag into one of the pockets and handed it to him.

I remember when i was a little youth I wanted to fly around the world making a new life Mike nodded as she spoke, he wanted that, it had been a long time since he had a friend who he didn't expect to just die or disappear on him one day, of course one day they probably could do their separate ways, he couldn't see himself teaching at Hogwarts for all eternity, there were still places and things he wished to see out there in the world. "I'd like that" he told her smiling, one of his possible future adventures consisted of trying to find other vampires, some sort of community, he'd like to one day settle down, find a nice vampress and help people who are new to the entire vampire thing. He could have friends then and life could be somewhat normal.
"I'm fine for the moment" he confessed, he'd drank the blood out of a cat a short while ago, it wasn't very nice but it would do. Michael then began to listen to her story "Must have been hard for you, i didn't have any offspring so i cant fully understand your heartbreak but lets not dwell on things we cant change" he told her, genually feeling incredibly sorry for her, he'd had to leave loved ones plenty of times in his life but he'd never had a child s far as he as aware of so he couldn't comprehend how much that would hurt.
Mike took her coat and hung it up on a coat stand by the front door then returned to where he was sitting. "You look nice.. not even a day over 60" he said with a smirk simply trying to lighten the mood a little, he wasn't sure if it would work but he had to try something. "So... anyway.. what do you think of my place?" I never thought today I'd be where i am now.

i wanted to be everything on the planet The worst thing for Evelyn about being a vampire wasn't an immediately obvious problem. She could easily cope with the greater strength and speed, drinking blood was something she accepted as as much of a need as sleeping or going to the toilet and the immortality allowed her to do much more than she'd have had chance to accomplish in a human lifespan. Her biggest problem was always feeling alone because everyone she knew that she would eventually have to leave anyone she got close to. Eve had, on several occasions, considered turning someone to be her assistant but had always reminded herself of the life she could have lived. Could she risk destroying someone's life like that? Never.
Evelyn had meant in general that she didn't mind if he felt the need to drink blood but it naturally applied to their current setting too. So long as it wasn't her blood anyway, that she would have a problem with. While it sounded extremely strange, Eve had heard of a few crazy vampires that were so convinced vampires were the purer race that they drank vampire blood for the purity. Fortunately, she had never met such vampires and was glad that they were very rare.
"Well the witch that gave me this," Evelyn said as she raised her hand to show Michael her ring, "told me she was fine. More than fine." Eve had had plenty of time to shed her tears and had done plenty of it. Most people would dismiss the words of a little old witch that lived in the rainforest but this was the same little old witch that had discovered her secret, kept it a secret and given her a ring to protect her from the sunlight. If that didn't make her trustworthy then what would? She'd had the ring for many years now and had never got so much as a headache from the sun. If she wasn't to be trusted, the ring would probably have killed her by now.
Eve laughed lightly before replying to the man before her. "I suppose I'll take that as a compliment." To be more specific, she didn't look a day over twenty-four as that was when she was turned. Or was it twenty-five? When you'd lived as long as she had, the years started to blur into one another. Either way, she looked extremely well for someone who's life had spanned three centuries. She'd seen more than her fair share of bloodshed, frequently by her own hands but also by others. She liked to think she'd made it through everything through her inner strength rather than just her enhanced abilities as a vampire. "Honestly, I think you should get a maid or something. Just for me. Most people can't hear you shoving clothes into cupboards to make it look like the place i tidy," Eve replied with a wink and a small smile.

I remember when i was a little youth I wanted to fly around the world making a new life Mike had lost a family because of the vampire transformation he had two brothers, a mother and a father who all loved him and whom he also loved, unlike Evelyn though he knew what happened to them, even though he had travelled he would return home every so often to check up on his brothers, it was difficult to see them age and eventually look old enough to seemingly be his father. Okay so it wasn't like losing a child so he couldn't relate in full but he felt she wouldn't bee able to relate to him fully, watching his family try to find him and then eventually except his death, grieve an then watch as they got over it and carried on was difficult but he had done it and felt it was the right thing to do.
He had stopped checking up on his brothers after the elder of the two got married as he realised if he didn't he would end up watching their children and then theirs and so on and as much as he longed to protect his family for as long as he could, his time with them ha passed and he was simply a stranger to them now. "Well, that's good, that's great in fact" He told her with a smile, so most people would probably question the reliability of just a woman but one thing Michael had learnt in his long life was that there are extraordinary people in the world and to question them would simply be unwise.
"Its probably the best compliment you will get from me for a while, im incredibly rusty at being charming" he told her with a grin, it had been a while since the last time he had tried to be charming, well other than his job interview which he had attempted to be charming during but had just ended up being himself, well as much himself as he could. Mike shook his head slightly embarrassed, he had let the place turn into a mess, it was nobody but his own fault and by his age everything really should have been kept clean with some ease. "I should have figured i cant be subtle or sneaky with you here" he said releasing laugh "As for a maid.. there's something about having someone go through your stuff and moving it that doesn't appeal to me, especially with some of the stuff i have lying around" I never thought today I'd be where i am now.

i wanted to be everything on the planet Evelyn nodded weakly to Mike's reply. "It still leaves a lot of questions unanswered though." She had no idea if Amber's father had kept her and looked after her. She had no idea what house she was sorted into or if she even went to Hogwarts at all. She had no idea what she achieved. She had no idea if she'd married or if she'd had kids. Then there were her grandchildren she knew nothing about and then their children and then their children. Despite being her mother, Evelyn knew practically nothing about Amber besides her name.
"You're not doing too badly. If this is rusty, I'd love to see you on form." She had come close to saying when he was on fire but as a vampire, he probably wouldn't appreciate that, even if he knew she didn't mean it literally. Eve had always got nervous when vampires were the topic of conversation, worried that someone had found out and was trying to get her to slip up and expose herself. So far, she hadn't cracked under any of the pressure and as far as she was aware, nobody had figured her out. Well, there was always the Durmstrang highmaster but as he was a werewolf, the two of them had come to an understanding and she'd moved on without any trouble.
"You weren't expecting me so I'll let you off. Now you know of my spontaneity, I expect this place to be spotless on my next visit." Eve would decide if she was joking or not on that very visit. If it wasn't clean and tidy then she would go about the cleaning herself. If it was then she would reveal that she didn't really care. While she'd been on the move in between schools, the places she'd stayed in hadn't been particularly tidy either. "Then perhaps you could use that nifty bit of wood you carry around and get the house to clean itself?"

I remember when i was a little youth I wanted to fly around the world making a new life Mike wished he could tell her that her little girl had a great life and was happy and he wished he wouldn't be making it up, but he would, so he couldn't say that. "Look, everyone makes a mark and leaves traces of themselves, i sure you can find something and i will help if you need me" he told her an he meant it, he would help her as much as he possibly could as he knew it meant a lot to her and well that was the only reason he needed.
Michael chuckled slightly at the on form comment, and his mind drifted back slightly to when considered he was on top form, there had been a time were he could woo any woman and make any man jealous. Although that wasn't necessarily a good thing so he had calmed on a lot more with age. "Yeah.. i was quite the something to see" he told her with a smile, he missed those days, but it couldn't be like that again. "I bet you have had awe bringing times too" he said with a small nod of his head, she was certainly beautiful and elegant yet strong and powerful, he wished he would have met her sooner.
Mike sat up straight and saluted "Yes Ma'am, thank you ma'am" he joked, although if anyone was going to try and claim some authority on over how tidy his home should be she was the best candidate, he didn't get visitors often and the fact she was going to just pop around randomly didn't mind him at all, he enjoyed her company and he also loved surprises. "You would think after all my years alive i would use my wand more, i just forget about it, it goes in my pocket as part of my morning ritual and stays there till bed time" he said with a shrug.
"Don't worry, everything will be spotless the next time you visit" he told her, he would probably start cleaning the second she left, starting with all the dirty clothes he had tried to hide. "Ill have a Christmas clean anyway" he thought out loud, looking around the room, ever since he was a little boy his mom had made him clean his room around Christmas then he left home and she made him clean his entire apartment then it had become a tradition, ever single year he would have a big clean up before Christmas, even if the place he was living wasn't even much to clean. I never thought today I'd be where i am now.

i wanted to be everything on the planet "I'm hoping the absence of her name from any records at schools I've taught at means she didn't go to them. Which means she either went to a very obscure school or she came to Hogwarts." Eve would at some point get herself access to the Hogwarts records but for the time being, she would have to let it rest. Her position as History of Magic professor made it far easier for her to get the records than if she were in any other post but as she had only just (officially) started teaching there, it would look a little strange on her part and she didn't want to draw attention to herself. She was pretty damn sure Amber had come to Hogwarts and if she lost her job here, she'd be waiting another two hundred years to have a shot at finding out about her.
Eve couldn't help but laugh through a smile as Michael turned it around towards her. "Yeah... I tend not to talk of those days very often." As much as she loved teaching, she wouldn't have been able to manage for as long as she had without the occasional break. They were only ever a year or so long but she managed to get up to a lot within that time. Though she wouldn't change most of those things if the opportunity presented itself, they weren't exactly appropriate to tell everyone about. "Well it's certainly refreshing to see a wizard that doesn't rely on magic for everything. Just don't set fire to yourself, we both know that'd be worse for you than anyone else." Evelyn had always been very careful with her wand for precisely that reason.
"I do hope you clean more frequently than once a year." Eve couldn't imagine leaving her house to its own devices for a whole year. She'd probably breed a pandemic without even knowing and kill the whole country in a day. Except for the resident vampire population of course, seeing as they had a handy little habit of never being ill. Evelyn liked things to be clean and tidy but didn't like the process of making it so. As such, she kept on top of it rather than letting it build up because she'd rather spend ten minutes a week doing it than six hours a month.

I remember when i was a little youth I wanted to fly around the world making a new life "Id put my money on Hogwarts" he told her, they seemed to be good at getting letters to people who weren't even expecting them and to people you would think getting a letter to would be difficult, he often wondered how they even know about muggle borns having magic, he had never been told and he kinda liked not knowing something that others probably did for a change.
"You aren't going to go all shy on me now are you?" he said with a smirk, he did want to hear some of her stories, if she was anything on top form like he imagined she was he wanted to hear about it. He could imagine her walking into a room in a long flowing dress turning heads as she passes. "Huh, i never think of myself as a wizard any more, guess that explains the lack of wand use a bit" he confessed, he thought of himself as a vampire nothing else, he often found himself feeling so different he felt like he had come from another planet. "Yeeahh.. i best stay away from fire spells" he decided, he wouldn't risk having a really clumsy or stupid moment like everyone has and ending up turning himself to ash.
"Yeah, obviously.. except maybe once.. or twice" he said scratching the back of his neck. He wasn't counting the times he had lived with someone and they had been the one who would clean. "Maybe i should get help, i have always kind of wanted a man servant" he said with a laugh he could just imagine having someone following him around, heck maybe he could start wearing capes and his man servant could have a hunched back and he could work on becoming more of a stereotypical vampire.
Michael paused a moment, he had a lot of questions he wanted to ask her, some he felt would be inappropriate and some he would probably have to ask her when the situation was more relevant. "So.. what's it like having a baby? Not the entire birthing process.. just the holding it in your arms for the first time?" he asked hoping it wouldn't touch a nerve, he had seen and heard so many times someone risk their lives for their child, he would have done it for his brothers but the bond and love between a parent and their child seemed to be one of the most powerful things he had ever come across, it was even present in the animal kingdom. I never thought today I'd be where i am now.

i wanted to be everything on the planet "I would do the same. I'm certain the magical quill would have written her down in the records but whether she accepted her invitation is another question altogether. I hope her father was smart enough to know she wouldn't get a better education anywhere else." Had she mentioned Amber had been the result of a one night stand? Probably not and Mike was bound to think it curious that she wasn't certain of Amber's father's intelligence. Hopefully he would pick up on the fact that their relationship had been extremely short lived and thus answer any questions about how she knew so little about him for himself. Quite frankly, there wasn't a great deal she could say about him apart from that he'd been particularly attractive, had known all the right things to say and he'd been slightly foolish in not expecting to be found when he lived in the same village as the woman he'd left before she woke up.
"Shy? No. Withhold information in embarrassment? Yes. Perhaps I'll reward to a story or two once we've got to know each other more. I don't tell just anybody about my err... exploits." Of course Michael wasn't 'just anybody' but she still didn't know him well enough to tell him about those parts of her past just yet. Eve could understand what Mike meant when he said he didn't think of himself as a wizard. She had managed to hold on very firmly to her humanity and still thought of herself as a witch, albeit a witch with a sweet tooth for blood. Of course, she sometimes thought of herself as a bit of a monster when she got a bit carried away in a hunt but it was only when she killed someone that she would allow herself to feel guilty. Regular people killed pigs and cows to survive though vegetarians proved that they didn't have to eat meat to survive. Evelyn on the other hand would die without blood and so it wasn't all that different. She didn't breed people to feed on them either. How on earth had she managed to take the moral high ground as a vampire?
"If you wanted to get really cliché, you could seek out a willing young apprentice and use turning him into a vampire as an incentive for him to do what you say." Though Eve usually hated vampire fiction for its inaccuracy, she would often read one here and there to see if Muggles were getting any closer to the truth. All they were doing was romanticising it with ignorant maidens falling for vampires left, right and centre. For some reason the Muggle girls loved the idea of an undead boyfriend that would always be thinking about ripping their throat out. Yes, how romantic.
Eve paused for a moment as Michael asked her about having a child. She had spent a lot of timing thinking about how it had felt to leave Amber with her father and practically no time at all thinking about it had felt to first see her. "It's... amazing. Just amazing. An overwhelming need to hold her close and not let anybody touch her, to protect her from absolutely everything the world could throw at her." Evelyn had failed there. Amber had been completely safe until that one night she went out, even though it was for just a few hours. If she hadn't gone out, she wouldn't have had to leave her with someone that in hindsight could not be trusted. If she hadn't gone out, she would never have been attacked and would have been able to carry on looking after her. There were so many ifs and so little she could do to change any of it.

I remember when i was a little youth I wanted to fly around the world making a new life "Hogwarts is certainly the best, although i may be slightly biased" he told her with a shrug, a magical quill.. duh he should have realised it would be something simple, he often overlooked the most simple of things presuming it must be something complicated. "I'm sure it wont take that long to look and find out about her, although you may need a reason to go snooping.. well i guess you dont need one your the history professor, its your job to snoop around the past"
"Oh, now im curious and when im curious i wont stop till i know" he said with a smirk "what on earth could embarrass you?.. hmm" he began to wonder " lot of things could fit that.. but if its something i haven't done then i have no ideas, ive had a fair few embarrassing moments." he confessed, he had many stories, most of them he would keep to himself. "Its nice talking to someone who doesn't make me feel old.. thanks" he smiled, it felt good, he could relax and not worry about messing up.
"Or i could cover myself in glitter and seduce a teenage muggle girl" he said rolling hi eyes, muggles occasionally looked like they were making progress in understanding vampires then someone would make something like that up and set them all back years. Muggles were complicated yet simple at the same time often they would do something acting on logic or emotion but occasionally someone would do something unpredictable that would mean he would have to re-think muggles completely.
Mike still didn't really understand even after she had explained what it was like to have a child. "I guess its one of those things you just have to experience.. i wish i could experience it" he said drifting off into thought slightly. "Oh well, i cant have everything" he said with a shrug, he had wanted a dog once and he had got one.. but they only live so long.. he had considered trying to vamparise it but he wasnt sure if that would work or if having a dog that lusts human blood was a good idea. I never thought today I'd be where i am now.
