Autumn was probably the best time of year, for a student. It was the only time when your workload wasn't tiring or overwhelming, but even now she found herself surprised at how quickly the staff expected them to settle in and start working. Surely they realised that, as a seventeen-year-old girl, she had so many other things to be doing with her time, other than piles of essays? Apparently not. Or they were choosing to ignore the protests of the seventh years and continuing to present them with the prospect of more schoolwork. She wasn't stupid, she knew that this year was her last year at Hogwarts and the year she would be sitting her final wizarding exams, but that was months away. It felt like summer had been years ago, rather than a few short weeks and she wasn't a fan of this feeling. Sure, she needed to work occasionally, but she wasn't a Ravenclaw. She didn't do the studying for hours in a row thing, it just didn't feel right for anyone other than nerds or Ravenclaws to be doing this. Especially a Slytherin girl. They were far more interested in boys and mocking other people to be reading books every second of the day.
Much to her surprise, although she was one of the only Slytherins who usually made an effort at all with her school studies, she'd managed to complete one of her essays today. Less surprising was the fact that the only work she'd done was the easiest of the many (by her standards, anyway) and was the homework originating from her favourite subject. Subjects like Ancient Runes hadn't even been given a second glance, and probably just as few thoughts. If all subjects were like Potions, she would almost definitely have been a reincarnation of her grandmother, who almost enjoyed writing essays for her lessons. That was a scary thought, she realised, pushing it outside of her head, as she glanced towards the entrance to the Slytherin common room. Considering it was still relatively early in the evening, it was curious that there weren't more of her fellow house members around, but she soon shrugged this off, thinking that they were probably still occupying various areas of the castle before curfew.
Bringing her legs up to her chest, she rearranged her sitting position in one of the many green chairs provided and sighed contentedly. It was so peaceful here, regardless of what impressions the other students had of their infamous quarter. Her comfort, as much as she disliked thinking of it, was more down to her choice of clothing, rather than the furniture she was positioned on. For whatever reasons, she'd not wanted to make as much effort as usual. Obviously she still looked good, because there was no way in hell that she would leave her bed looking anything less than good, but her clothing style had been toned down for what must have been the first time in many months. Had she been aware that any particularly attractive people would see her, she probably would have jumped up and run away, faster than she even thought she could move. But, since this was not the case, she was happy to remain in comfortable clothes. She could definitely see why other girls chose to wear things like this, but there was no doubt in her mind that she still preferred dresses and pretty clothes when she was going somewhere. She wondered what reaction she'd get if she even dared to go outside of the common room in anything less than her usual style. Probably one which was completely weird.
Of course, when she was thinking about what people would think, she wasn't really bothered with thinking about the rest of the student population. One person was more important to her than them. She wasn't used to this weird feeling. Why did he matter so much more? She frowned a little, in her confusion and frustration, biting her lip, as she looked up from the floor to find herself looking at another person in the room. This was far more shocking than anything else and she found herself giving an involuntary squeal of surprise. Oh, that was even weirder.

I said I'm comin' back, I'm comin back around, And you ain't goin' nowhere, so put your jacket down, "If it hadn't been for cotton eye joe, i'd been married a long time ago" Nathan sang as he scrubbed his arms, why he was washing at this time was.. well.. he'd already became stupidly dirty, how was he supposed to know if you touch the cool looking flower in the herbology greenhouse it would spew weird pus at you. As for why he was singing.. well, some things not even he knew. He didn't really care if people could hear him though, he was in a surprisingly good mood, he wasn't sure why but he had a feeling it had something to do with the fact he'd found a box of unopened bertie botts every flavoured beans, they were probably his roomies but oh well, finders keepers.
Once he was satisfied with how clean he was and he had gotten himself dry and dressed he went for a stroll, partly to try and find someone he knew and partly to dry his hair off a bit more, his hair was getting to the stage where it began to look a bit messy and he needed it sorting out, he'd have to look up hair spells later, due to its length though it would take a while to dry and it was nearly impossible to dry with a towel, and a hot air spell just hadn't crossed his mind.
After strolling around for a while, winking at some girls, laughing at how some first years looked and just generally being himself he headed for the common room, he hadn't ran into anyone, he was beginning to think everyone was avoiding him. then he stepped into the common room and his eyes fell onto a familiar face.. well.. a familiar body, he didn't spend much time looking at her face. She looked amazing although he wouldn't tell her that just yet.. he'd save it for when he could get something from her. He stood there, unnoticed wondering what he should do to get her attention, he decided to just stand in an awesome pose until she looked in his direction. He crossed his arms and stood up straight with a smirk place on his face, then she noticed him. "What the hell was that noise!?" They might take me away, but guess who's back in town. lyrics: Fortune Family - Take Me Away wearing: this comment: Your post is like twice the size of mine.. but with this broken t button this will have to do im sure my posts will get bigger soon though.

Was that supposed to be funny? She didn’t always know when he was being serious and when he was being sarcastic, quite often; it seemed to her, the two were present in the same sentence. She raised an eyebrow, not entirely fond of the way he’d practically crept up on her, when she was distracted and so deep in thought. Alright, so that was a bit of an exaggeration, but it was no excuse for him to start running up behind her when she wasn’t aware of another person being around. If he had been anyone else, she probably would have reverted to normal instincts and reached for her wand, but having noticed whom it was who was creeping up behind her, she felt her hands immediately jump to hit him in the stomach. Not massively painful, but she hoped it was enough to warn him not to repeat this unsatisfactory behaviour in the future. Not that he’d pay much attention, she figured, noting his eyes drift lower down than was considered to be appropriate. “I can see you doing that,” she commented dryly, although she was almost certain that he knew this already. And when it came down to it, Nathan Lysander wasn’t really one who could be told what he could and couldn’t do, although she secretly thought if anyone could prevent him from doing something it would be her. She doubted he’d even listen to what anyone else had to say if he wanted to do something.
That was something they had in common. They were both rather stubborn and therefore they spent a lot of time arguing about anything and everything, whilst other people might have found it annoying, it seemed normal that their relationship would progress in this manner. Mostly she managed to convince herself that she was merely acting on what was good for her, not wanting to believe that he meant too much. She wasn’t sure how she’d cope with admitting that it was overly emotional. Except angry or upset emotions, she could express those well, especially around him. Right now, she was bordering over annoyed phase, at being surprised by him so suddenly, as though this had caused her some grievous bodily harm. It didn’t matter whether this was accurate or not, in her opinion he deserved the reaction he got from her, he’d crept up on her after all. What else was she supposed to do? He could have been anyone. Okay, so she’d technically known it was him before she hit him, in that moment of not thinking about her actions, but her point still stood. The way she saw it anyway. He probably wouldn’t see it that way.
Realising her hand was still hovering in the air slightly, after reaching out, she retracted it slowly and regained her comfortable sitting position in the armchair once more as she looked back at him, with what she clearly thought was an innocent look. Seeing as she believed she could justify her actions, she failed to provide an explanation for the sudden attack and returned to her normal expression as she surveyed him for a few moments. Ooh, crossing of the arms. This had to mean business, she noticed, with a small smirk appearing on her face. “That was my sexy noise,” she replied, as though this was the normal answer to give when asked this question and as though the sound she had made previously was not as odd as it had been. “I thought it was rather seductive, didn’t you?” She was now using a tone, which made it apparent that disagreeing with this statement would make him weird. She could have tried the whole ‘what noise? I didn’t hear a noise’ thing, but really? The likelihood of that line working on him was less than zero. She was confident in this excuse; he didn’t know everything about her, so who could doubt that she didn’t randomly make strange noises when she was excited? Still with the same little smug smirk on her face, it was almost as though she was daring him to try and argue with this comment.

I said I'm comin' back, I'm comin back around, And you ain't goin' nowhere, so put your jacket down, Nathan held his stomach after she hit it, it hadn't hurt at all, but he felt the need to act like it had. "Owch!" he moaned rubbing it slightly. "What was that for!?" he asked, his mind going through all the things he'd done that she wouldn't be too pleased with, he couldn't even think of all the things had done, there were way too many possibilities. She spoke and his smirk grew, he hadn't even attempted to make the fact he was checking her out subtle. "So? What you gonna do about it?" he asked raising one of his eyebrows slightly, he was being very playful and he was always interested in her responses, they were always what he wanted to hear, he'd only know he wanted to hear it after she said it though.
Nathan watches as she sat herself back down, she was so.. elegant, he soon shoved these thoughts to one side, she'd only sat down. "Hah! Oh there is no way that was your sexy noise.. i mean ive heard some sexy noises come out of your mouth.. but that.. no" he said chuckling slightly then adding "I know what that noise was, that's the noise girls make when they see like a famous celebrity guy they like.. my mom does it over some singer." He always had like to think of himself as some sort of idol, it was only right in his head that girls swooned after him.
Nathan jumped down next to her and sent a small smile her way. "You're trying to seduce me?" he asked raising his eyebrow once again in a playful manner. "You're gonna have to do better than make noises at me, i have some class" he joked, he did have much more class then he let on, most people didn't realise he came from an extremely wealthy background and he was as much as home in a suit as he was in a t-shirt an jeans. "Come on Malfoy, impress me" he teased, curious to see what she'd do or say in response. They might take me away, but guess who's back in town.

He was such an arrogant jerk, really. According to most of the female student population at Hogwarts anyway, and she tended to agree. But, somehow, this seemed to make her like him more. Maybe this was the first step to losing her sanity, but she wasn’t all that concerned now. She was more intrigued with his behaviour and speech in her direction, which was currently running through its drama queen phase of pretending that her sudden punch in his gut had hurt more than it had actually done. Facing him with what was clearly supposed to be a disappointed face, she shrugged as though the action had been entirely normal and justified, therefore leaving her no reason to explain. “Just for being you, I guess,” she replied, a small smirk creeping up on her face again. “I hope that makes you feel special, because nobody else would get that reaction from me.” It was true, although he’d probably have preferred it if her ‘special treatment’ towards him consisted of something else. She briefly wondered what the expected response to this cry of indignation was – whether he expected her to respond in the way that she had done or whether he was expecting her to apologise. But as for asking him, there was no point. He knew her well enough to know that she didn’t do the whole romantic scene and if he had wanted that type of girl, he’d have chosen one of the clingy and emotional ones.
As she’d anticipated, he was completely aware that she was watching him survey her body without permission. Not that he really needed permission, because he’d do it regardless of what she said and also she had to admit that her body was worth looking at. Who could blame people for looking? Looking thoughtful at his question about her intentions, she glanced upwards as though searching through the air for an idea. “I’ll glue your eyes shut,” she said simply, using the same tone as he had used, as though her sentence didn’t carry the threat it evidently did. “You have to learn somehow. That seems to be a good solution.” Even though her words carried this threat, somehow she didn’t sound as though she meant it. Damn, she’d have work on this, to make herself seem more convincing.
“Actually, I was telling the truth, I just didn’t want to hurt your pride or feelings when you found out that this is the noise I genuinely make. I guess you’ve never been good enough to hear them.” Even as she uttered these words, she found herself unable to suppress her laughter for more than about thirty seconds. She couldn’t stop herself from smirking widely, when she looked up at his face, to see what his reaction to this statement was. In all truth, she could have been telling him a fact, how was he supposed to know what noises she did and didn’t make? This burst of sniggering was ceased when she heard him talk about how he expected that sound to come from his mother and raised an eyebrow. “Do I look like a girl who screams at male celebrities?” Evidently the answer to this question was ‘no.’ “Besides, why would I care about them when I have something much better?” She smirked, her attention being drawn to him, as though it was obvious what she was implying, before revealing the ‘better thing’ she had, thus destroying any possible illusion of it being him. “When you’ve got your own fame, they’re hardly interesting, let alone enough to make me squeal.”
When she heard her last name come from his mouth, she tilted her head to the side somewhat, surprised by his choice of vocabulary. “Malfoy?” she repeated, hardly believing what she was hearing. “Since when do you call me that?” She often referred to him by his surname, but she couldn’t remember the last time he’d used hers before now. It was always the long form of her name, that she claimed frequently to hate. “Are we reverting to childhood now and pretending we hate each other, Lysander? Because I know how those films end.”

I said I'm comin' back, I'm comin back around, And you ain't goin' nowhere, so put your jacket down, Nathan often wondered why he was so fond of Cassandra, she could easily annoy him, frustrate him and they would bicker more than a reasonable amount, yet he still found himself curious as to what she had to say about everything. "I should probably be used to getting hit just for being me by now" he told her with a shrug, he got it surprisingly a lot, mainly by guys who's girlfriends he'd flirted with or done something else, he didn't really care though, he had a fairly high pain threshold and he figured most of them probably had a valid reason for it, he always gave back as good as he got though. "I'd prefer something more... nice." he stated with a shrug as if he was asking for something she couldn't afford to give, he knew she wouldn't change though.
The smirk on his face grew as she told him shed glue his eyes shut, his mind had instantly come up with a reaction he thought was suitable. "If you glue my eyes shut, i'll just have to use my hands" he told her, he was proud of that response and to be honest figured he had every right to look at her as much as he wanted anyway, she was pretty much his property, not that he'd say that because he knew she''d react badly to being called property. She didn't sound very convincing with her threat anyway, either she was bad at being convincing or he was just getting used to her so much he could tell when she was lying. He wasn't sure he liked the thought of knowing someone so well he could subconsciously tell if they were lying or not and react appropriately (or more like inappropriately when it comes to Nathan) within seconds.
Nathan paused for a while after she told him that that was in fact the noise she made, then she began to laugh so that just proved to him that there was no way that was her 'sexy noise' what noise it actually was though, he wasn't sure he'd ever actually find out from her, she could get stupidly stubborn over stupid things. "Well you weren't screaming at a celebrity.. you were screaming at me, i know in your eyes i am some sort of idol, but im just a student really" he told her with a smirk. "Seeing as i just made you squeal, i'm gonna take that as your saying im better than celebrities, so thanks" he told her, turning her own jab at him back on herself.
Nathan smirked as she noticed his use of her last name "Since just" he told her simply, it was true, he was fairly sure he hadn't called her Malfoy before, maybe once but he couldn't remember it. Nathan's eyebrow raised at her next statement, he was curious and was beginning to think he would like where this was going. "Oh? And how would that be Malfoy?" They might take me away, but guess who's back in town.

Was looking smug something he practiced? It had to be; otherwise he had this innate ability to make her roll her eyes frequently at his arrogance, so she preferred to think that he was making the effort. Although why he would make an extra amount of effort to look increasingly happy with his comments, she had no idea. If he were a normal guy, he’d just allow her to be right or, at least, let her think that she was right. But he wasn’t like the average guy she knew and was familiar with, and this confused her more often than she understood his behaviour. Maybe he was under the illusion that she loved his smugness, which was hardly the truth, she tended to resort to rolling her eyes and sighing whenever he faced her with a look which clearly stated that he was proud of himself. “You should be used to it by now,” she agreed, nodding to show her firm approval of this sentiment coming from his mouth. “Would you like some more practice until you’ve learned to deal with it?” She was joking, of course. She hardly ever hit him, mostly because he seemed to get even smugger with this development as though she couldn’t bear to keep her hands to herself. Putting on a slightly innocent expression, she held his gaze once more before replying to his suggestion about her being nicer. “I am nice,” she said, as though this was evident. “But, go ahead, what are these 'nicer' things that you are imagining or wanting?”
There it was again, the same smirk that never seemed to leave his face for more than about two minutes. She might have claimed that she hated this smirk and mostly, she did claim this, although she actually found it intriguing more than a few times. Maybe that theory about losing her mind wasn’t as out there as she’d originally thought. Besides, other boys, particularly ones belonging to their house, started smirking at random intervals and she didn’t think that was a good thing. It had even been an infamous trademark of her paternal relatives, she didn’t find it attractive on anyone else. Her thoughts left her momentarily when she caught his response, which was nothing less than she would have expected from him. It was still weird to hear those words being said to her though, surely it was beyond inappropriate. She raised an eyebrow, staring at him for a few moments as though waiting for him to take back what he had said, but this would never happen. “I don’t think you will,” she replied simply. “People like me are for looking at only, not touching.” Sticking her tongue out at the other person beside her, she grinned. “Unless you’re that hot seventh year Ravenclaw guy.” If he was going to start playfully insulting her, she’d be more than prepared to return the favour.
“You’re so observant, Nathan,” she commented, her voice dripping with sarcasm as she turned to face him. “How clever of you to notice that there is a lack of celebrities in our common room.” Even though she was being completely sarcastic, he’d probably accept it as a real compliment, because the amount of genuine praise she gave him was hardly sky-high. “I was not screaming at you!” she protested, frowning at the idea of him thinking she thought of him as an extremely scream-worthy person. “I was screaming at the sudden appearance of someone behind me. I would have done the same regardless of who was standing there.” How did he manage to turn most of what she said into admiring comments? She really didn’t know the answer to this puzzling question, but since it was nothing but normal behaviour for him, this concern soon left her as she rolled her eyes for what felt like the fortieth time today. “You can’t just call me by my surname. That’s reserved for people I like.” Again, she looked pretty pleased with herself after this, knowing that this was just an average day in their lives, constantly insulting each other but without any harmful or serious tone behind it. Unless they were angry. She’d lost count of the amount of times they would argue, break up and make up a few hours later. “You know what happens,” she said, knowing that he must have realised what she was talking about. “They insult each other, claim that they can’t stand each other and then eventually they end up having this fiery argument which leads to passionate angry sex.”

I said I'm comin' back, I'm comin back around, And you ain't goin' nowhere, so put your jacket down, Nathan shook his head at her offer to help him practice getting used to being hit. "No i'm good.. i'll just learn to enjoy pain like those people that are into kinky stuff" he said with a small nod, personally he'd never understood how someone could like pain although if someone did enjoy pain then if you hurt them they would just enjoy it.. he kind of liked the thought of being that annoying. "If i just told you these things you'd not learn anything, you'll have to discover stuff yourself"he told her with a grin, then added "Oh and if you were nice you probably wouldn't be a slytherin".
Nathan's face became super serious as she spoke about no touching, but then she mentioned a hot raven claw guy and he just burst out into laughter. "What one? the nerdy one?" he asked knowing she'd say no, but either way he asked. "And as for looking not touching.." he started then tilted his head to one side and placed a hand on her knee. He made his eyes meet hers and with the smirk that rarely ever left his lips he gave her a wink.
"Yes i am observant and by saying there's a lack of celebrities in the common room you just went against all the times you've called yourself a celebrity or famous or something along those lines" he pointed out rather smug with himself for that one. "Now as much as anybody would normally believe that.. i have to point out the flaw in what you just said, i wasn't behind you.. i was in front of you.. you were just being away with the fairies" he told her, ok so he hadn't proved she was screaming because it was him, but he had managed to pick a flaw in something she said which for him was good enough.
Nathan raised an eyebrow then shrugged. "Fine, i'll simply call you Cassandra Rose Malfoy from now on" he told her figuring using her full name would annoy her more than just using her last. What she said next though mad his smirk grow quite the bit. "You know what Cassandra Rose Malfoy... i cant stand you" They might take me away, but guess who's back in town.

There it was again - the same self-satisfied voices that made her love and hate him at the same time. Not proper love, obviously, she barely knew him and to love him at this stage would have been a bit too eager. No, she definitely didn't love him in that way, she'd only just got her head around the idea of liking him at all and that was difficult enough for her to accept. "Don't start developing weird sexual fetishes, Nathan." It sounded more like an order than a request or a suggestion. "Because you know you're only going to be disappointed later on." There was no way on earth she was complying with a liking of being emotionally or physically pained at any point in her relationships, so she decided it was best to push this idea out of his head before he decided to act on it. She wasn't that convinced that he had much intention of doing this in reality, but she thought she should make it clear to him exactly how she felt before he saw it as a possibility, surely just to annoy people who wanted to cause him injury. It would have been just like him to do something merely to try and irritate as many people as possible. She rolled her eyes, again wondering what it was about him that made her unable to walk away.
The other infuriating thing he did was to talk in riddles so that it was always her having to work out what he meant or wanted at a certain time. "Well, that's a shame that you can't tell me, because now the chance of you getting anything you want is very slim. Since you want me to take the time to 'discover.'" Sticking her tongue out at him once more, showing perhaps just how childish she was, but not caring, she made herself more comfortable and sighed in contentment. It was surprising how comfortable she felt around him, even when he tended to speak more than she would have liked. "I'm a very nice, sweet girl," she repeated, ignoring his comment about her not belonging in Slytherin. "Maybe I'm a new and upgraded version of Slytherin students. Unfortunately you're not. But it's okay, I can teach you." Was it just her or was she offering to teach him quite a lot today? She must have been in a better mood than normal, or perhaps she was still in a state of shock from him creeping up on her unexpectedly. She liked the last explanation; it meant she wasn?t suddenly being nicer to him without him earning it.
Okay, so that particular jibe hadn't worked the way she wanted, but maybe she could still do something he didn?t expect to distract him from all her mistakes. "Of course. After all I normally go for hot nerdy guys. It's just that you?re the exception, being neither of the two." She smiled sweetly, knowing that he would expect her to argue with him, just for the sake of arguing, which this time she'd surprised them both by not instantly doing. "That's definitely a violation of the no touching policy," she said, reacting as soon as he'd moved his hand. Except she didn't sound as concerned as she was trying to seem.
Choosing once again to ignore his rightful and accurate criticisms of more errors she had made through small contradictions of what she said one moment and changed the next, she glared at him, with a small pout forming. "I know there's no other celebrities apart from myself in the room," she answered as though he had said something completely stupid and she was patronising him about it. "But I'm hardly going to scream at myself, am I?" The more she tried to cover her back with further details of how she hadn't contradicted anything, the more it sounded absurd. "You can't call me Cassandra either," she demanded, sending him a small glare as she watched him smirk more widely. "I'd use your full name too, but your middle name is so ridiculous I wouldn't be able to finish a sentence for laughing." Her head turned for a few moments to think about this, a small snigger hiding behind her lips before his last sentence caught her attention. "Nice try, baby, but your attempts are painfully transparent." She enjoyed how insincere she sounded when she used this term of affection. She ran a hand through his hair, before abruptly removing it and patting him on the head. "You'll have to work harder to get your tacky romance film scene."

I said I'm comin' back, I'm comin back around, And you ain't goin' nowhere, so put your jacket down, Nathan let out a laugh, he probably never would like pain, he didn't really plan on trying to, he'd cope with being normal in that way although he couldn't just respond with a 'i wont', that just wouldn't be like him "too late" he stated with a small grin. He wouldn't say anything else about that now though, as much as she could try and find out, he was just trying to play with her, well that's really all he ever tried to do.
Nathan nodded "You're probably right.. you are amazingly slow at working things out.. but i do always get what i want" he told her then sniggered a little at her theory on being a new kind of Slytherin. "As funny as it would be to see you teach.. i like being bad" he admitted, he'd always enjoyed misbehaving, well he never ha the confidence when he was little but since he grew up a little he found his confidence an began misbehaving as often as possible, he figured he had way more fun than the goody two shoes students.
Nathan shrugged, his mind looking for a witty response to the dig she just gave about him not being nerdy or good looking. "Who need's brains and looks when you have skills" he stated leaning back in the chair and crossing his arms behind his head, his body language just giving off smugness. He was probably going to get asked about his so called 'skills' but he was fairly sure he could come back at every question she could throw at him.. he was fairly good at thinking on the spot, well he was considered himself to be very good, if he actually was would be for someone else to judge.
"I know" he stated simply as he moved his hand up her leg slightly. "Screw policies" he said winking, he'd never liked rules or being told what to do. If there was a rule he could break he'd try to, within reason, he wast about to go out and kill a load of people just because the law says he cant.
Nathan rolled his eyes, she'd pretty much just ignored what he actually said and decided to make up what he'd said instead, well two could play that game. "Which room would that be? because i don't think your with me right now" he told her waving his hand around in front of her eyes as if to make sure she could see him. "I dunno about that, you might wake up one morning and catch a glimpse of yourself in the mirror" he stated with a smirk, he knew she was fairly vain an that he'd have to get a reaction with that, preferably an interesting one.
Nathan just ignored her comments on his middle name, it was a terrible middle name, but he was born with it and it was in his opinion his only flaw so he'd hang onto it because he'd read somewhere that flaws help build character. "Hah! Like i want romance.. please, don't you know me?" he said taking the hand she'd just patted his head with. "If i wanted a romantic moment worthy of a movie scene i'd have had it by now". They might take me away, but guess who's back in town.

“Well you can just get rid of the idea again,” she replied, hardly giving him a choice in the matter. “Like I said before, the chances of you finding someone to fulfil those fantasies are next to zero percent. Unless you have a particularly naïve girl in mind already?” She raised an eyebrow in full scepticism, wondering if he even knew of people who were open to that sort of behaviour in their sexual and everyday lives. It seemed pretty weird to her – she couldn’t understand why anyone would get pleasure out of emotional or physical pain, that was something to be avoided, not repeated for leisure. She didn’t think that Nathan was being completely honest in his opinion of this concept either; she doubted he was really interested in it, but was only putting on this act just for her attention. She was hoping anyway, she would find it dubious to date someone who was that fond of causing pain to other people. She certainly wasn’t having anything to do with it, he’d have to find some other people who were completely lacking in brains or dignity to comply to that new request. “Can’t you develop normal fantasies like other teenage guys?” she asked, rolling her eyes once again at his typical everyday behaviour of winding her up over everything and anything.
Did he just admit that she was right about something? She felt a small smile warm its way onto her face in triumph before he quickly ruined it with his next words. “Just when I think you’re about to realise how lucky you are to have me,” she complained, pouting in disappointment. “I’m not slow anyway, you’re slow.” Yes, what a comeback. They’d be using that witty response for years into the future, it was that outstandingly good. “You always get what you want?” she repeated, hardly managing to cover her tone of laughter at his peculiar claim. “I think you’re confusing reality with your dreams again, Nathan.” She smirked, mimicking his amused expression at his attempts to annoy her. “Besides, you’re the one who always does what I say.” Of course most people would probably have said the same in her situation, but the difference was that she completely believed what she was saying, in her view, anything she told him to do he was obliged to do and usually did do whatever it was that she required. On the other hand, she liked to believe just as wholeheartedly that she never accepted his requests so easily, without a few arguments about why his requests were ridiculous and she wasn’t doing that.
Unusually he wasn’t responding as arrogantly as she’d expected, given that she’d just insulted him quite deeply on both personality and appearance and yet he appeared unbothered as though she’d simply commented on the weather. Was she weakening in how she treated him? She still wanted to insult him intermittently; otherwise he’d turn into a more conceited individual than he currently was, although she still doubted whether that was possible. “Actually, I think it’s more the brainpower you lack,” she answered, correcting what he’d taken her statement to mean. “I guess you’re reasonable in the looks department, I wouldn’t have offered our arrangement if you weren’t. I have to associate myself with half-attractive people.” Wow, now that almost sounded she’d given him a small compliment until she found something else to criticise in his following sentence. “You have skills?” she said suddenly, as though she’d only just realised what he’d said and was still just as surprised with the idea as when he’d said it. “How nice. You should show them occasionally.”
Obviously she noticed his hand moving again, for which she studied his expression for a few moments before taking his hand and placing it on his own leg, leaving the explanation for doing so in her head and not thinking to share it just yet. “In this conversation, we’re keeping our hands to ourselves, even though I know the concept must be unheard of for you.” She looked down at her legs which were currently free of pressure and looked momentarily thoughtful before turning her head to meet his eyes again. “I’m not going to wake up one day and scream at myself,” she replied, as though he said something foolish for what must have been the third time in a row. The idea of this alone was weird, why on earth would she scream at her own reflection? She liked what she saw in the mirror and was oh-so-proud of it as well. “Everyone knows I look too good to scream at my appearance. You know it, I know it. Everyone.” She noticed that he chose to ignore her taunt about his middle name, probably because this was the only thing she’d said that he agreed with. That seemed to be a pattern, when he agreed with something, he decided to stay quiet on that matter. “Unfortunately I do know you. Too well. But there’s no way you’d get any romance scenes from me, whether you wanted them or not.”

I said I'm comin' back, I'm comin back around, And you ain't goin' nowhere, so put your jacket down, Nathan simply winked in response to her first question he figured that would be the easiest way to annoy her sightly.Nathan then went on to think about the fantasies he has had, smiling slightly to himself he looked at Cassie and asked "When you say 'normal' fantasies, what do you mean?" he was curious as to what she considered a normal fantasy and to what isnt. "Can i have some examples?" his mind wandering to what her fantasies probably consisted of, he couldn't even begin to imagine, she was way too weird for him to work out.
"Oh please im lucky to have you? You're a pain in my backside" he told her crossing his arms, she'd annoyed him more than anyone had, he was certain of that, but she just interested him, she wasn't like most of the girls he knew, sometimes he wished she was but then he'd probably loose interest fast. "Oh what a comeback that was" he said applauding her "Bravo bravo no slow person would ever come up with that" he said dripping in sarcasm. "I do always get what i want, and i only ever do things you tell me to when ive manipulated your thoughts into you telling me to do something i want to" he said with a nod, he had learnt that by planting thoughts into peoples heads you could get what you want, he was very manipulative really and he'd been that way since he was little.
"Was that a compliment Cassandra?" he asked raising an eyebrow, it was very out o character for her to compliment him. "Yes i have skills.. but no, i think they'd be wasted on you" he told her, he wasn't too sure what he was even on about by skills but whatever it was would always be more of a mystery to her then him because he would make it that way.
Nathan sighed as she put his hand on his own leg. "Fine, hands to ourselves it is" he said slouching down in his chair not feeling s if he had to put up an effort now. "You are way too full of yourself" he told her probably being a bit hypocritical but he didn't really care, he only pointed out flaws in others he didn't bothr pointing out his own. "I wouldn't expect a romance scene from you, you aren't the romantic type" They might take me away, but guess who's back in town.

She’d walked right into that, she realised almost as soon the question left her mouth. She’d actually been the one who created the situation that was undoubtedly going to follow and did, as shown by his interest in her request. Usually it was him who took it upon himself to make the conversation go into questionable areas, but just now she’d done it. It was obviously unintentional on her part, because she hadn’t thought about what questions would follow when she said those words until when he’d smirked and asked for more detail. Not able to instantly think of a retort that would suit her purpose of both sounding incredibly clever and destroying his ideas for any fantasies coming true, she fell back on her typical expression when faced with him. Which was, of course, the exasperated and annoyed glare she often used when she didn’t know what to say to something he was clearly enjoying. She found that in situations like this, she really wanted to tell him to shut up and have that be the end of the discussion but she knew that this tactic would never work. Firstly because if he knew she was getting frustrated, he’d revel in the knowledge and keep interrogating her about it even more, but also because she hated to lose. She’d basically lost if she just told him to shut up and change the subject. That was never going to happen.
“How about you just keep all your fantasies to yourself?” she suggested, figuring this was her best chance, if any was there, of making him keep that information out of her head. “I’m not about to reveal anything like that to you anyway..” she trailed off slowly, before realising she’d let her speech run out of her head before thinking about she was saying again. Now she’d made it sound like she did have some sort of related secrets that she was hiding. Why didn’t she think about that before she said it? In an effort to distract him from picking up the wrong idea, she attempted to distract him with another comment almost immediately after the last one. “Normal teenage boy fantasies would be something you’d know more about than me, what with you being one, I’m sure you know all about the common ones.”
She shook her head, letting her hair fall as it wanted, before she turned sharply towards him, hearing his criticisms of her. He thought she was a pain in the backside? “And what exactly would that make you?” She inquired, hardly waiting to hear his interpretation of his position in their weird relationship. Was the folding of the arms to prove his point in some way, or merely to emphasise it? She wasn’t sure, but either way she was positive that he’d seen their statuses entirely the wrong way around – he was the most irritating person, by far. She couldn’t even pretend to hide her indignation at this comment, when it was clearly a misjudgement on both their parts and she felt a need to correct him. “Excuse me, Nathan Lysander, but if anyone is a pain in the backside it is most definitely you. I put up with way more stuff than you have to!” She would have usually returned to folding her arms, to express more deeply her sense of offence at these words but she had learned through observation that doing this around guys was never a good idea. It accentuated the wrong parts of her body when she did that habitually and she figured he had a short enough attention span as it was already.
Thinking rather foolishly that this was going to be the last statement at which she felt obliged to correct his comments about, she settled back into the armchair, ignoring whatever appearance he was currently going for until she heard him state that he always got what he wanted for the second time. “I already discounted that theory,” she replied, raising an eyebrow as his overconfident tone. “And we found that you don’t always get what you want. “Name just one time when you think you got anything you wanted from me.” Definitely a challenge, that was evident by the tone of her voice when she addressed him. “And whilst we’re discussing that matter, I did not compliment you. As if I would openly do that to your face.” She had to admit, to herself, never to him, that she didn’t criticise him half as much behind his face as she did when she was talking to him. Maybe it was just habit, or maybe she honestly enjoyed teasing him a little bit each time she saw him. She only finished saying this a few seconds before she caught the expression of the boy after she’d told him they were not to touch one another. “You’d think I’d just hit you with a face like that,” she couldn’t help but grin a little, noticing how different he started to act when he was forbidden to touch her.

I said I'm comin' back, I'm comin back around, And you ain't goin' nowhere, so put your jacket down, Nathan rolled his eyes at her attempt to get away without giving him an answer. It was rather pathetic in his opinion and she would not get away with it that easily. "I planned to, its your fantasies i'm curious about" he stated then added after he second statement "And now i know you have some weird fantasy". "I'm sure you know much more about guys fantasies than me, seeing as im way different to most boys and your a teenage girl.. you read magazines about that kinda stuff" he told her, it had original started off as some sort of snide remark about her being a whore of sorts even though she wasn't but he decided against saying it and made up half of what he said as he went, not that he cared too much about her feeling.. he hoped she didn't notice he'd done that though.
Nathan rolled his eyes did she really think he was more of a pain then her, she had to be kidding. "Me? I'm like your play toy, you just do whatever you want" he told her, what they were doing right now was great example of that, Nathan didn't wanna be sitting there just talking, he could think of ton of more fun things he could be doing. "You put up with more stuff? Like what?" he asked waiting to see what she would come up with he was fairly sure they both went through the same amount, maybe he went through little bit more.
"Seriously? You want me to name something i've gotten from you i want.. fine.. well we've kissed, that's one thing right there" he said with a small nod, truth be told he rarely did get anything he wanted from her, hence her being a pain in his ass but he wasnt going to let her win something, he'd never hear the end of it. "Oh no, complimenting me would be way to kind to be you" he stated, it was true though, she never really complimented him without making it sound like some sort of a joke. "If you hit me the hands to ourselves thing goes out the window" They might take me away, but guess who's back in town.

Did he really think that he had the right to roll his eyes at her behaviour? He was far worse than she ever was, it should always be her rolling her eyes at something he'd done, to have it done back to her made her feel odd. Besides, she'd yet to do or say anything stupid, unlike him. And yet here he was, rolling his eyes at her like she'd just said something embarrassing or completely idiotic. It always made her frown whenever he returned her typical gaze like this, not many people had the opportunity to make her look as though she was doing something ridiculous that deserved a disdainful expression. She still wasn't particularly happy about it, but she knew if she criticised him for doing so it'd only make him want to do it more. Such was the delight she endured in agreeing to be his other half. She didn't really know how to react when someone rolled their eyes at her, it only seemed to be her parents, brother and him who did it and each time, she found herself frowning at them with intense frustration. Since she'd already worked out that she couldn't risk calling him out on it - he was bound to attempt to annoy her even more, the only visible alternative option was to do it back to him. Which she did, meaning that she'd just rolled her eyes at him for rolling his eyes at her. So, not only had he made her frown at him for one action, but it seemed he'd also managed to make her incredibly immature. She should have really seen this coming. Or maybe it was just that she was too stubborn to let him have the final word in that non-verbal conversation.
He was going to keep his fantasies to himself? She hid a small smile at the thought of him keeping anything like this to himself, she doubted he was capable of never mentioning something like this. "In that case, I look forward to a very peaceful week ahead," she commented, whilst briefly wondering what their relationship would consist of if he was banned from mentioning certain things or talking about particular topics. "Why should you be curious about some non-existent fantasy?" she asked, faking nonchalance with almost perfection. Maybe he'd drop it, if she continued to act as though she hadn't made an error in her choice of words those moments before. The chances of this happening realistically were next to zero percent, she thought him far too stubborn to let go. "Do I look like a girl who reads girl advice magazines?" she responded, frowning at his next comment which was as ridiculous as any she had heard coming from his mouth. Clearly he should not accuse her of such things, she hated gossipy magazines like the ones commonly produced in the Muggle World. "Highly fortunate for you to have attributed potential knowledge to magazines however. It would have been a bad decision for you to have made the grave mistake of thinking I know about male fantasies through less flattering means." It would be more than an error, if he suggested that she was an expert in sexual matters. Of course, since she knew him well enough to know where he had been going with this first part of the sentence, she knew he'd only just managed to stop himself from going exactly where she would respond by kicking him.
She had to stop herself forming a shocked expression, at seeing him roll his eyes for the second time in a particularly short period of time whilst insinuating that she was more annoying than him. She knew that she probably annoyed him, but part of that was because she worked hard to achieve this reaction, to reduce the chances of him winning the constant arguments they seemed to fall into. "Yes, you. You're far worse than I am. You're obsessive, arrogant and argumentative." Obviously she overlooked the fact that she might share a few of these qualities, instead holding back a smirk at his reason for why she was more annoying than him. "Maybe you're not intelligent enough to make decisions for yourself, seeing as I care about you incessantly, I'm making your life easier." She resisted the familiar urge to roll her eyes at his further claims that she treated him worse than he did to her. "Besides, you can't say that both are true. Either I'm always ordering you around or you get your own way. Both can't be possible, so we arrive at the conclusion that you're the one who makes all the demands."
She went on to nod her head in self-satisfaction as though she had suddenly won the argument without much effort on her part. However, he seemed to think differently and his next statement made her tilt her head slightly, wondering if he saw how stupid some of their disagreements were. "You didn't get that from me, I was a consenting party. Otherwise, it would have been mouth-rape and something not to be proud of." There was no way that she was letting him think he was in the right here, she knew that she was far more successful at persuasion than he was. Either that or he wasn't even trying. Then again, he'd managed to make her want him, so he couldn't be horrendously bad in his powers of persuasion. She hated that last thought, it meant that he was partly right. Shaking her head, she stuck her tongue out at him, being pretty certain that her rule for being unable to touch her was getting to him more than he was allowing to show. "Exactly, I'm a mean Slytherin girl, everything you want in a girl. Occasionally with good taste in men." She moved from her seated position to the arm of the chair he was sitting on, as she raised an eyebrow at his final words. "Are you unwittingly revealing to me that you're into sadomasochism there, Nathan?"
